Beloved, life is a journey divided into seasons, and one of the most vibrant, energetic, and defining seasons of that journey is youth. Youth is the stage where strength is abundant, dreams are alive, and possibilities are endless. It is a time when the mind is sharp, the heart is adventurous, and the body is full of vigor. Yet, it is also the stage where many people make choices that either shape their destiny for greatness or lead them astray.
In Ecclesiastes 12:1, the wise preacher Solomon calls our attention to an important truth: “Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth.” This is not just a call to worship, it is a call to purpose. It is a reminder that the season of youth is not meant for wastefulness, recklessness, or self-centered ambition, but for usefulness — usefulness to God, to the church, to the community, and to humanity at large.
To be YOUTHFUL is to be in the prime of life, but to be USEFUL is to make that life count for something eternal. God designed youthfulness not merely as a stage of enjoyment, but as a platform for impact. He invests strength, creativity, and passion in the young because He expects productivity, service, and devotion in return.
Sadly, in our generation, many youths have allowed pleasure, distraction, and peer influence to rob them of their divine potential. Instead of being useful vessels in God’s hands, they have become spectators in His vineyard. But God is raising a generation of young people who will stand out, youths who will be both youthful and useful, vibrant in body yet sober in spirit, active in society yet anchored in faith, relevant in the world yet rooted in Christ.
Being YOUTHFUL AND USEFUL means allowing your strength, talents, and opportunities to glorify God. It means standing for righteousness when the world calls for compromise. It means using your voice to influence your peers for good, your time to serve the Kingdom, and your gifts to bless others. The truth is, what you do with your youth determines what becomes of your future.
Therefore, this theme seeks to remind every young person that usefulness is the true measure of youthfulness. God is not impressed by your energy, your beauty, or your popularity if they are not used for His glory. The Lord is looking for young men and women who, like Joseph, David, Esther, Daniel, and Timothy, will remember their Creator early and live purposefully.
Join us in this impactful program as we reflect on the theme “YOUTHFUL AND USEFUL,” where the Spirit of God will open our hearts to understand that every day of our youth and life is a gift and every gift is a responsibility. Your youth is not just a time to exist, but a time to excel. It is not a season to be wasted, but a season to be invested for God, purpose and eternity.
