John 6:21 says:

“Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land whither they went.” (KJV)

Recall that the disciples were faced with a storm sailing to Capernaum before Jesus showed up in verse 18...

Looking deeper, you would deduce that there was a more critical situation the disciples were faced with at this moment that was more sensitive and would determine the outcome of their experience and situation...and that was the decision to receive Jesus into their ship or not to.

Wait awhile!

How are rational or logical decisions made?
They are made using either historical data or trend and pattern, past experiences or knowledge of someone or something etc.

They disciples were able to make the right decision of letting Jesus in in the midst of the storm because they could recognise his voice..."it is I". I am who I am even in the midst of the storm, I am who I am even when the journey slows down and lives are in danger. They knew His voice.

Remember that the disciples were not afraid because of the storm, the scripture noted that they only became afraid when they saw Jesus afar off walking on the waters, and coming towards them in the midst of the storm.... It means the storm could not let them see clearly, and they lacked the ability to recognise Him by sight in the storm, but thank God they knew his voice..."it is I".

Here is the highlight:
It takes intimacy and perpetual relationship to recognise one by voice...think about this!
Also, do you realise that our ability to promptly see clearly and recognise someone when we are faced with unforeseen storms is limited, but our heart and our ears are most needed at this time to accurately decipher His voice if intimacy existed aforehand.

Don't wait until the storm arises to learn His voice, now is the best moment to know His voice!

“They willingly received him” – At first, the disciples were afraid, but once they recognized Jesus the moment He spoke, they accepted Him into the boat.

“Immediately the ship was at the land” – This shows a miraculous intervention: not only did Jesus calm their fear, but their journey was instantly completed.

Key lessons
Jesus brings peace in storms (both physical and life situations).

Receiving Jesus changes outcomes—what seems long and difficult can become easier.

Divine help can accelerate progress beyond natural limits.

Don't wait until challenges come to know Him, now is the acceptable time.

Like I have always maintained, you cannot dream of having a lively and growing church, but you surround yourself with inexperienced and "incompetent pastors"... and you continuously fail to reiterate the vision for which your ministry is existing in the first place , and the way to achieve the vision...zero strategy.

You need character and competence...not one of the two, but both.

God's word disapproves of incompetence. Being born again is not enough, having good character is not enough, you need men who can rightly dispense the truth embedded in the word of God...and that talks about skills derived through rigorous study, exposure , adequate formal or informal hands on training, access to right mentorship.
Study to show yourself approved" (2 Timothy 2:15)

Will you allow an untrained self acclaimed doctor to perform a surgical function on you, just because he has a good character and has access to surgical tools?

You may argue that God can use anybody, and I will respond that the assertion is correct.
But God will first equip whoever He chooses with knowledge, skill and character before He sends them.
Luke 24:49 (KJV), Jesus commands the disciples to "tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

God hates mediocrity, the purpose for God's calling is for effective witnessing...

Dear preacher,

I came to inform you that God as our father does not accept bastar̃ds.
Bastãrds in this context, means that God will not take responsibility for whatever result your work and ministry will yield or produce, even if it looks good in the eyes of men, unless He is the originator.

If your message is not a product of your intimacy with God, it means He has not yet pe*****ted you (your heart and mind), and His seed has not yet been planted in you, so you would likely produce something else that is outside His nature and likeness...He will not take responsibility for that baby...
In fact, He would wonder who was responsible for all you preached, and would not hesitate to dissociate Himself from the strange baby you would want to pin on Him😀😀😀
He has a DNA machine😄😄😄😄😄

Our pulpit work, and every other work we carry out as God's people, will be subjected to God's integrity and conformity test. They will be audited by God Himself for standards and processes at the end of time before God proclaims "well done' or 'depart from me'"...this is according to Matthew 7:23 (...I never knew you, depart from me you workers of iniquities( you that do lawlessness)

Part of the integrity test will examine who initiated the messages you preached and the prophecies you gave (whether it was God or mammon), and how the messages and prophecies were handled by you after they were given to you ( were they kept in their original state, or modified), before they got to the end users-your pew/audience.

Part of the conformity test will check for the consistency of your dispensary with God's constitution - the Bible. Did you use the scriptures in line with the context
or out of context? Was your conduct while carrying out your assignment in line with God's regulatory standards or in contradiction.

Every preacher that understands this, will not be so eager to mount the pulpit, or preach a message, without first tarrying in the place of prayer and the word to hear from God.

Every preacher that understands this will be so afraid to manipulate the scriptures out of context for self gain or to solve church needs.

May the Lord help us!

It is risky to allow someone you have not proven to lay his hand on you because he is being invited by your pastor as a guest minister... prayerfully discern before you accept any hands on your head.

Learn to respectfully decline, to avoid contacting strange spirits and being confronted with ugly situations you never bargained for.

Most problems people incur are from religious gatherings.

Be warned!

A servant of God is one who gives up his own will for that of Christ...it is not a title

Dear young sister/brother,

The Bible has encouraged you to keep your bed undefiled. This instruction is not to avoid direct in*******se and indulge in kissing, romance or any other activities that satisfy s*xual cravings...

It is natural and normal to have s*xual cravings, that is why God has made available the fruit of the Spirit called "self control" according to Galatians 5:23

God is simply demanding you remain chaste! That means that your thoughts must be pure (no filthy thoughts), your conversations must be pure (no phone s*x or dirty talks with anyone), and your eyes must not willfully and deliberately indulge in filthy sights.

You can be a virgin but not chaste.

God wants you to be pure both bodily, mentally and spiritually.
Sexual immorality is a sin that the consequences impair not just our relationship with God but our bodily, emotional and spiritual well-being as clearly stated in 1 Corinthians 6:18 & 19.
Also, It makes our vessel (body), which serves as the new testament temple through which we offer sacrifices and worship to our God unfit and polluted. "For your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit..." 1Cor. 6:19.
Respect your body not decorated blocks used as an altar and pulpit in your church. Your body is God's altar and not decorated blocks in your church building. Lie there and pray nothing will happen, what attracts God is the posture and position of your body, soul and spirit towards Him and His instructions...don't be deceived!

Your life victory and fulfillment is a product of your intimacy with God, and the effectiveness of your intimacy with God as well as that of your prayers is dependent on the level of the involvement of the Holy Spirit in your life, as one who "helps our physical and mental weakness (infirmity), as we do not know what to pray as we ought to", and as one who " communicates the mind of the father to mankind and guides us on this journey of life with many unimaginable uncertainties.

There are rules of engagement for Christian soldiers, those whose mandates are to unturn the status quo, and establish the will of God both in their lives, their families and their generation, one of those rules is chastity.

Instead of wishing the downfall of your superior as a subordinate, why don't you wish for their promotion.
What if they are promoted and you take their place?

One of the ways we can make a difference in our world is by changing the way we think.

Do not be conformed to this world, but continuously be transformed by the renewing of your minds so that you may be able to determine what God's will is—what is proper, pleasing, and perfect Romans 12:2

Food for thought!

THEY DIED UNPREPARED! NEVER KNEW DEATH WAS NEARER THAN THEIR ANTICIPATED DREAM

A young man by name Absalom lusted after his father, David's throne according to 2 Samuel chapter 15 to chapter 18, for the quest of power, affluence and fame.
He went into war with his father that David had to run bare-footed for his life.
But little did he know that death was nearer than the anticipated throne.
Absalom died in rebellion and enmity with his father.
He died unprepared and never ascended the throne.

Also, there was a man called Haman in Esther chapter 3 to chapter 7 who was drunk with power, very revengeful and was filled with hatred for Mordecai and his people that he coerced the king into signing a decree to extinguish the Jews.
He never spared alive any one who would not reverence nor bow at his appearance that he made "the gallows" to hang Mordecai for refusing to acknowledge him.
While in banquet with the king and his queen,
he died without a moment of thought and preparation.
Even after being specially invited, even after he had exclusively wined and dined with royalty, little did he know that death was nearer than his anticipated destruction of Mordecai and his people.

Before you walk away from Faith and your relationship with God, before you give in to that temptation or lust with mouth watering offers and promises, could you pause awhile and ask yourself " what if I lose my identity and peace with God for this self and worldly pursuit, and I do not live to see or enjoy the reward, neither see Christ face to face eternally, what do I gain"?

As everyone leaves the market, shops and buildings even with their goods inside, and returns home every close of business day, and the entire place is absolutely silent, so we all will leave this world one by one with nothing in our hand someday if Jesus tarries...
why the greed?
why the hatred?
why the cheating?
Why the rubbery?
Why the defrauding?
Who will you blame?

Are you faint and weary? Wait on the Lord.
When you have got no answers to events unfolding around you, please wait on the Lord.

If you see one who upholds one's faith in the midst of life challenging or threatening situations (financial difficulties, delay in marriage, delay in child birth etc.), that's one who waits on the Lord. The good news is that answers are assured, which makes one's strength and muscle anew as if one has no challenges ever faced.

The word "wait" in the scriptures, doesn't translate to a time to put one's life on hold or stay idle, expecting God's intervention somehow or anyhow. Rather, it is a time one intentionally goes extremely close to God through the medium of prayers and study of the scriptures. The reason for this is to allow God to pe*****te through one enough to deal with one's nature and situations.

Isaiah 40:31
But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.

The Story of an EAGLE:
The Eagle has the longest life-span of its species. It can live up to 70 years.
But to reach this age, the eagle must make a very difficult decision!
In its 40th year, the eagle’s long and flexible Talons can no longer grab a prey which serves as food.
Its long and sharp beak becomes bent.
Its old-aged and heavy wings, due to their thick feathers, stick to its chest and make it difficult to fly.
Then, the eagle is left with only two options: DIE or go through a painful process of CHANGE!
This process lasts for 150 days (5 months).
The process requires the eagle to fly to a mountain top and sit on its nest. There the eagle knocks its beak against a rock until it plucks it out.
Then the eagle will wait for the new beak to grow back after which it will pluck out its talons. When its talons grow back, the eagle starts plucking its old-aged feathers.
And after this, the eagle takes its famous flight of rebirth and LIVES for 30 more years!!

We sometimes need to get rid of the unpleasant old memories, negative habits and our fixed mindset, and we need to decisively stay very close to God in the waiting room of prayers so that the devil will be unable to exploit our vulnerability.
Only Freed from the past burdens can we take advantage of the present.
If an eagle can make a life saving and life-changing decision at the age of 40….why can’t we?
In order to take on a New Journey ahead, let go of your negative old limiting beliefs.
Open up your mind and let yourself fly high like an eagle!

Problems are common to all, but the attitude towards them makes the difference!
Instead of ending it all because you feel you have reached your limit, why not choose to wait on the Lord.
