Topic: The Way Of Success

We are still on the series of the topic that says The Way of Success.
One of the ways of success is the Topic coming from the passages we have read and it says Be humble, Meek Or lowly. Hallelujah. I asked myself what is the meaning? I am not a grammarian but i can say humility is the opposite of pride. If you ask an average Nigerian, he will be able to tell you what it means to be proud...humility is just the opposite of pride. And I asked myself again, what is meekness? And I answered and said, meekness means humility.
And I asked what is lowliness and the answer is it is opposite of pride. And the scripture we have read, have interchangeably used humility, meekness, and lowliness. Telling you that a man who is humble is lowly, and is meek. Hallelujah. And a man who is lowely, humble and meak can never be proud, can never be haughty. Like I said earlier, apart from the kingdom of God that we need to pray for and enter which I will always advise Christians that once in a while, take a day fast for your soul, ask God to have mercy and show you how to enter his kingdom. Apart from this kingdom we want to enter, a second thing that is making children of God to fast and to pray is the well-being of our lives. We want to be alive physically, isn't it? The way is a humility.
There are people that have died before their time because they were not humble. Humble to say I am sorry, humble to apologise, humble to submit to an authority. Pride has killed so many. Another thing apart from physical life that we are praying for that we should get, is it not greatness, is it not riches? And the passage we have read have told us that the short way to it is humility, meekness, it is lowliness of the Spirit. Jesus showed the example in Philippians chapter two, three to nine. He showed us the example & he has the life both spiritual and physical. The father exulted him to the point that his name is so powerful, that not even the kingdom of darkness not even hell, not death, not destruction nothing can stand that name. All we are seeking is that it should be well with us and the scripture we have read has shown us the short cut but there are so many people that are bothering themselves labouring like we said earlier in the morning during Bible study from morning till night not sleeping not resting, to be wealthy, to be rich, to be alive to eat good food, sleep well on a better bed. And yet they are very far from it, very very far from it. But God is saying it is by fear of God, it is by humility, it is by meekness, it is by lowliness of spirit that we can live long. It is by lowliness of spirit, by fear of God that we can be wealthy, that we can be rich that we can succeed in this life, that we can be happy in this life and what are we waiting for?
With the few minutes remaining I want you to rise and we're going to pray for ourselves. We're going to ask or say God, I submit my heart, my life to you. Deliver me from a haughty spirit, from pride, sanctify me again and again until I am humble like the lamb, lowly and meek like my master so that I will be who you want me to be. It is not our enemies stopping us from being wealthy and rich. It is not our enemies that are stopping us from being alive and living long. It is a haughty spirit. It is lack of fear of God. It is a proud spirit that is stopping us. We must lay it at the feet of Christ today so that it will be taking to the cross where he died and was crucified so that we can be what God wants us to be. Now there's a song that says agama bu ihie chineke sina agamabu eh... I will be what God wants me to be, the hand work of Satan or my enemy is not going stop me.
