This week, we proudly celebrate a man whose name has become synonymous with service and unwavering commitment to the advancement of Christ kingdom, Mr. Itoro Wisdom, ANTO.
There are officers who perform their duties, and there are officers who redefine what service truly means. Mr. Itoro Wisdom belongs to the latter. His journey within the Brigade has been marked by diligence, sacrifice, and an uncommon passion for creating opportunities that improve lives.
As the Immediate Past Secretary of the Garrison Battalion Council, he brought structure, vision, and efficiency to the administration of the Council. Behind many of the successes recorded during his tenure was a man who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, ensuring that ideas were transformed into reality and that the work of the Brigade moved forward with excellence.
But perhaps one of his greatest legacies is his unwavering commitment to the welfare and empowerment in the Garrison Battalion Council as secretary.
Understanding that the Brigade is not only about uniforms and parades but about building futures, Mr. Itoro Wisdom as secretary engineered scholarship opportunities for both boys and officers, giving many the chance to pursue their dreams and further their education. Through his efforts, burdens were lifted.
Not stopping there, he championed entrepreneurship and skill acquisition initiatives, equipping boys and officers with practical skills and business knowledge that empowered them beyond Brigade activities. He understood that true leadership prepares people not just for today, but for life itself.
A visionary by nature, he also engineered business opportunities for the Council, introducing ideas that strengthened sustainability and positioned the Battalion to think beyond conventional approaches. His ability to identify possibilities where others saw limitations remains one of his defining qualities.
As Secretary, he played a pivotal role in the successful hosting of major State Events Camp, ensuring smooth coordination and effective ex*****on. The countless hours of planning, sacrifices, and attention to detail that went into those events may not have always been visible, but the results spoke loudly.
Beyond Garrison Battalion, his influence across the Rivers State Council has been profound. From serving as Secretary and later Chairman of the Trainers’ Forum, he contributed significantly to the training and development of officers, helping to raise a generation of leaders grounded in competence, discipline, and the true spirit of the Brigade.
Today, as Welfare Officer II of the Rivers State Council, he continues to carry the same heart of service, always seeking ways to uplift, support, and empower others.
Mr. Itoro Wisdom is more than an administrator. He is a builder of people, a creator of opportunities, a mentor to many, and a man whose impact continues to echo throughout the Rivers State Council.
Mr. Itoro Wisdom, ANTO, your diligence has strengthened institutions, your compassion has changed lives, and your vision has opened doors for many.
