ABAS IAUE CHAPTER CELEBRATES ANGER-FREE DAY IN ALUU COMMUNITY WITH LOVE-DRIVEN HUMANITARIAN AND EVANGELICAL OUTREACH
14th February, 2026
For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you welcomed Me.
(PMatthew 25:35)
This biblical reference charges service to humanity through love and good works, which formed the spiritual foundation for the activities carried out today in commemoration of the BCS ANGER FREE DAY.
As part of activities marking the annual Celebration of BCS Anger Free Day, the Association of Brotherhood Academic Scholars (ABAS), Ignatius Ajuru University of Education Chapter, carried out a series of humanitarian, and Evangelical outreach programs in Aluu community.
The outreach, led by the Chapter President, Sis Mercy Osiah Ibe, alongside the Evangelical Coordinator and members of the Chapter Evangelical Team, featured environmental sanitation, humanitarian services, evangelism, and a courtesy visit to the Paramount Ruler of Aluu community.
The exercise commenced with a sanitation activity across selected areas of the community and the premises of Golden Bethel Aluu, aimed at promoting cleanliness and civic responsibility as practical expressions of love and service.
This was followed by humanitarian services, during which the delegation reached out to ABASites and a few members of the residents with words of encouragement and material support, reaffirming the Fellowship’s commitment and mandate in practical love, and to make the whole world one is a task that must be done with compassion and community development.
In the course of the outreach, evangelism was carried out with scriptural reflections centered on love as the nature of God and the foundation for peaceful coexistence. The message emphasized anger-free living as a divine instruction and a pathway to unity among individuals and communities.
The delegation thereafter paid a courtesy visit to the palace of the Paramount Ruler of the community, His Royal Highness (Eze) ThankGod Nwinye, where they were warmly received. A brief prayer was offered, and the Chapter President highlighted the purpose of the visit and the significance of the Anger Free Day celebration. And noted that the vision of ABAS and its commitment to promoting peace, moral consciousness, and love-driven service within society is the reason for the visit.
In his response, the Paramount Ruler commended the initiative of the Fellowship and encouraged the youths to remain steadfast in advancing peace, love, and unity through positive and selfless actions within their communities and campuses.
The outreach activities concluded with group photographs and expressions of gratitude for a successful commemoration.
Thank you, Father.
