π±πβοΈβ¨π The greatest prophecy ever spoken was not preached from a pulpit. It was spoken in the middle of humanity's greatest failure.
Before there was a priest... Before there was a sacrifice... Before there was a nation called Israel... Before there was a temple... God was already preaching Christ.
Hidden within His words to the serpent was a promise so profound that it would echo through every page of Scripture until it reached its fulfilment at Calvary.
Today, we uncover the FIRST Gospel ever preached.
π DAY 2: THE FIRST PROMISE OF CHRIST
The Gospel Hidden in Eden
π MAIN TEXTS
"And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." Genesis 3:15 (KJV)
"But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman... To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.β Genesis 3:15 (KJV)
"...For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil." 1 John 3:8 (KJV)
π‘ CORE TRUTH
The first announcement of the Gospel was not made after Christ came. It was proclaimed by God Himself in Eden, immediately after man's fall, revealing that redemption was His plan from the very beginning.
π DISCOVERING CHRIST IN THE TEXT
Genesis 3 records humanity's darkest hour. Sin entered the world. Fellowship with God was broken. Death became humanity's dreadful inheritance. Yet, before Adam and Eve were driven out of the garden, God made an astonishing promise.
He spoke not to Adam, but to the serpent.
"I will put enmity... between thy seed and her seed."
This is remarkable because throughout Scripture, descendants are ordinarily traced through the man. Yet here, God speaks of "her seed."
Moses, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, records the first hint that the coming Deliverer would enter the world in an extraordinary way, ultimately fulfilled in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ.
God also declared that the serpent would bruise the heel of the promised Seed, but the Seed would crush the serpent's head. The cross would wound the Saviour, but it would never defeat Him. Through His death and resurrection, Christ would overthrow Satan's dominion, conquer sin, and destroy the power of death forever.
The Gospel, therefore, did not begin at Bethlehem or even at Calvary. It began in Eden. At the very moment humanity fell, God revealed His heart to save. Before man ever sought God, God promised the Redeemer.
What Adam lost in the garden, Christ came to restore through the Gospel.

π PRAYER & DECLARATION
Father, thank You that You did not abandon humanity after the fall. Thank You for revealing Your plan of redemption from the very beginning. Open my eyes to see Christ more clearly throughout the Scriptures, and fill my heart with gratitude for the victory He secured over sin, Satan, and death. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Today I declare that Jesus Christ is the promised Seed who has conquered the serpent and secured my redemption. I no longer live under the dominion of sin or fear, but in the victory of Christ. My eyes are being opened to behold Him throughout the Scriptures, and my faith grows stronger as I walk with Him each day.

CHALLENGE FOR TODAY
Read Genesis 3 slowly and carefully.
As you read, ask yourself:
β’ Why did God speak to the serpent before addressing Adam and Eve?
β’ What does the promise of the woman's Seed reveal about God's plan of redemption?
β’ How does Genesis 3:15 give hope in the midst of humanity's greatest failure?
Then thank God that before judgment was pronounced, the Gospel was already proclaimed.
