*TEXT*: "Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, vigor when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them". *Eccl. 12:1*
God has endowed youths with vigor,, vitality, and vision to project the task of the kingdom to greater heights. There is a special grace in one's youthful season to do great exploits carrying out extraordinary feats. Joel 2:28 says, "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:" Whatever, you can do now for the advancement of the kingdom, to fulfill purpose give all attention to it now when you have the ability and pleasure to. Refuse to procrastinate because a time will come when you may not be able to.
Are you an usher in the kingdom? Usher with all your ability. Carry out that ministry with diligence and every sense of purpose. Let people wish to be ushered by you because of how godly you carry out your task. Are you a chorister? Sing with the aim to minister life and godliness. Refuse to be carnal, and give yourself to the spirit to bless life and draw men unto Him. Are you of the prayer squad, pray and intercede for the kingdom, desire souls to be saved, people to be healed and restored in every aspect of life. Pray for the ministers of the gospel, pray for the word of God to have a free course, pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and pray for the gospel to prevail in the land.
Child of God, now that you have breath in your nostrils run with that vision and did greater works in it. And there is no better time than now in the days of your youth. Though youthfulness in the kingdom is a greater length of the period because of grace, when your body can willingly cooperate with you is what you can boast of. So arise now and maximize every moment doing good works in the kingdom.

TEXT: "There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother". Proverbs 30 :11


Civilization cannot erode the importance of parental blessing on one's offspring. So no child that wants to live well and long on earth should give himself or herself to such deception. The most ancient and most modern book, very current for all times and seasons is the bible. It counsels children to honour their father and mother; to be a blessing unto them so that in turn blessings from their bowels, from their souls can flow into them. Considering the Mother's blessing in this teaching, no matter who you are, the status you have attained, have regard for your mother.

Choose your words in addressing her and bless her regularly with what God has blessed you with. Nothing stops you from planning her (also your father as your parents) in your budget for a consistent flow of blessing from you to her (them). A consistent ten thousand naira has more value to the receiver than an inconsistent and a-not-sure one million naira. Don't allow friends or wrong association make you despise your mother. Whoever is rude to your mother or parents does not value you.

So also who is rude to his or her parents before you. Scripture says, "Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness" Prov. 20 :20. "He that wasteth his father, and chaseth away his mother, is a son that causeth shame, and bringeth reproach" Prov. 19 :26.

I pray for you, may the blessing of your mother rest on you.

TOPIC: *THE_POWER_OF_APPRECIATION*

TEXT: "And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks... So they did eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets." Mark 8 :6 & 8.



Several persons have lost helpers sent to their lives because they lack the sense of appreciation. As yeast is to flour making it rise, so is appreciation to effort, it multiplies it. No matter how small someone affects your life positively, be appreciative, it will attract other favours. The lack of wisdom in not being grateful has wearied many valuable helpers in various endeavours of life out of the lives of believers.

The enemy has perverted the thought of many with the erroneous belief that appreciation is only upward to God, forgetting that the totality of all sincere appreciation is unto God who made all things possible. Hence, they ignorantly overlook and ignore those assigned by God to be a blessing to them in order for His name to be glorified in their lives.

God will always use man to meet the needs of his fellow man, for men are His hand (Psa. 17 :14). When God opens these channels of blessings unto you, be forever grateful to God for them by the totality of your attitude towards Him and the people He brought your way. Even if they are paid servants, true devotions and selfless service are priceless, but can be stirred up by appreciation which do not necessarily mean physical gifts.

A simple, 'thank you', can do beyond what you can imagine. Let your voice not only be loud when things go wrong but more when things go right.

Text: JOSHUA 1:8-11

Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines excellence as, “the quality of being outstanding or extremely good.” Everyone desires excellence, but it is only those who seek it by paying the price that find it. Pat Rilly declares that, “Excellence is the gradual result of always striving to do better.” Indeed, excellence in education involves performing outstandingly in tests, exams and extra-curricular activities. Youths in vocational training centres can also display excellence.
The would-be excellent youth must separate himself from peers who are addicted to television programmes, electronic games, social media, etc. which could be time wasters. Youths should go the extra mile by regular study before tests and exams dates are announced. Above all, there is a God-factor to excellence as genuine excellence or good success only comes from God. In our text, Joshua excelled through dependence on God and commitment to His Word. Therefore, a youth who seeks excellence must be connected to God through genuine repentance from sin by accepting Jesus as Lord and Saviour. He should read and meditate on the Word of God and maintain a consistent walk with Him.

*Lord, help me to excel in all I do, in Jesus’ Name.*

God does not say what He does not mean. He means what He says and says what He means. If He says all things are working for your good that is how He, the master planner has programmed the result of all activities and events on earth to be; the course of nature is not an exception. They are all programmed to work for your good.

Therefore, that man or wan busy scheming to get you discredited, that wan always holding on to the wrong you did downplaying the several good about you is actually pushing you towards your destiny. They may think they are frustrating you when they generate certain issues of life around you, but unknown to them, they are helping you develop your spiritual muscles that will bring out God's best in you and project you to your destiny.

They prompt you to pray the more, to fast more, study the more and carry out other necessary activities that bring you closer to God and helps you affect your world positively.
The adversaries of Daniel thought the end of him had come when they schemed against him and he ended up in the den of lion for praying to His God, but their action projected him to another realm of glory. The same happened in the lives of Shedrach, Meshach and Abenego.

Their adversaries plotted against them and got them into the fiery burning furnace to end them, but the fourth man was already in the fire ahead of them and delivered them. They came out well off, promoted in the land. The best part of it was that their God was glorified and all men were compelled by a decree to worship Him alone.

Truly, all things are working together for your good, so cheer up.

TOPIC: * *

"Even them I will bring to My Holy Mountain, and make them joyful in My House of Prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on My Altar, for My House shall be called a House of Prayer for all nations." Isaiah 56:7(NKJV)

Prayer is a very powerful tool which unites people together in Love. There’s this general saying that "a family that prays together stays together." This is so true because genuine prayer is a critical aspect of koinonia (2Cor. 13:14) which must be present in every healthy relationship. The bonding capabilities of effective prayer can never be overemphasized.

Prayer has the capacity to generate intimacy. In other words, we fall in love with three categories of people: The Person to Whom we pray, with whom we pray and for whom we pray.

(1.) The Person to Whom we pray: When we spend quality time praying to God in fellowship, we get deeper and intimate with Him and our spirits are united with the Spirit of God. We become one literally with Him, His Purpose, Will and Mind. (1Cor. 6:17)

(2.) The people with whom we pray: When we spend time with one another in a cooperate setting e.g., family, prayer partner, Church, etc., it enables us to maintain the Unity of the Spirit in the Bond of Peace. (Eph. 4:3).

(3.) The person for whom we pray: The Scripture adominshes us to pray for certain people e.g., those in Authority, (1Tim. 2:1-2) one another (Jam. 5:16) and for your enemies. (Matt. 5:44) Praying together was one of the secrets of Unity and Strength of the Early Church. (Acts 2:42-47). Love is what unites people because we fall deeper in Love with other brethren when we constantly fellowship with one another in all sincerity and truth. The same principle applies in our domestic families hence it is of the utmost importance that every serious family must establish a strong and potent family altar which would only cause all to wax stronger.

PRAYER:

O God, we ask You for Grace to always discipline ourselves to fellowship with one another in Jesus' Mighty Name.
