UNDERSTANDING THE PURPOSE OF CREATION

The purpose of creation is a profound theme that delves into our relationship with the creator and the intended role of humanity in the cosmos.

In Genesis 1:28, God gives humanity a special directive: " Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the bird of the air, and over every living that moves on the earth." This verse encapsulates several key themes concerning the purpose of creation:

1. Fulfilling potential: The call to be fruitful and multiply, symbolizes not just procreation but also productivity and creative. We are invited to explore our talents and develop our world around us reflecting the creative nature of God Himself! Every individual has unique gifts that can contribute to the flourishing of our communities and the planet.

2. Stewardship of creation: The directive to "Subdue" and "have dominion" is often mistaken for a licence to exploit the earth. However, it is actually a call to stewardship! We are entrusted to care for, manage, and protect God's creation. Understanding our roles as encourages us to respect and nurture the environment, ensuring the well-being of future generations.

Relationship with God: creation is the expression of God's love and creativity. Our existence is no accident: we are made in His image! This intimate relationship invites us to seek understanding and communion with God. Knowing our purpose helps us connect more deeply with Him, understanding that we are part of His divine plan.

4. Community and connection: The call to multiply extends beyond families; it's a reminder that we are part of a large community. We are created to thrive in the relationship - first with God, then with one another. This interconnectedness brings joy fulfilment, as we share in the reality of life together.

Glorifying God: Ultimately, our purpose is to glorify God through our actions, relationship, and stewardship. Everything we do can reflect His goodness and majesty. Acts of kindness, creativity and care for the earth all be powerful testimonies of God's presence in our lives.

DEVELOPING A PRODUCTIVE MENTALITY
In exploring the concept of a productive mentality, we look at key biblical passages that illustrates the importance of stewardship, growth, and multiplication in the Christian faith.

Introduction
Genesis 1:28, underscores God's command to be fruitful and multiply. It emphasizes the inherent expectations for humanity to develop and cultivate the earth, reflecting God's creative nature and our roles as stewards of His creation.

✓ The parable of the Talents(Matt. 25:14-30)
In this parable, Jesus tell the story of a master who entrusts his servants with talents (a form of currency) while he goes on a journey. Upon returning, he evaluates how each servant managed their entrusted resources:
*The faithful servants (5 and 2 talents) : Both servants used their talents wisely, multiplying what they had been given and receiving praise from their master.
* The wicked servant (1 talent): This servant, out of fear, buried his talent and did not attempt to multiply it. His failure to act led to his condemnation.

✓ Key Take-home
^ Responsibility and Stewardship: Just as the master entrusted his servants, God entrusted us with gifts, resources, opportunities. It is our responsibility to use these wisely to produce fruit and multiply His blessings.
^ Fear vs. Faith: The wicked servant's fear led to inaction. In contrast, the faithful servants acted in faith, demonstrating that a productive mentality requires courage to step out and take risks for God's kingdom
^ Outcome of multiplication: The reward for those who multiplied their talents reflects God's pleasure in their efforts. It isn't solely about results but the faithfulness in managing what has been entrusted to us.

Conclusion
Developing a productive mentality is about recognising our roles as stewards of God's gifts and acting faithfully to multiply them. By embracing responsibility, overcoming fear with faith, and prioritising growth through discipleship, we can fulfill the call to be fruitful and multiply in our personal lives, communities, and beyond. Thus, embodying a multiplication mindset is essential for thriving in our spiritual journey and advancing the kingdom of God.

Praise God.
