🎯TOPIC: RESTORATION TO GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST

📖BIBLE READING: JOHN 10:9-10; 14:1-6

JOHN 10:9-10
9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

JOHN 14:1-6
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way,, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

🗝️KEY VERSE:
"Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)

✝️MEDITATION:
Restoration is the act of returning something to its original state. Spiritually, restoration means mending our broken relationship with God—and this is only possible through Jesus Christ.

Jesus’ death on the cross was God’s plan to restore humanity. Because He loves us deeply, God sent His Son to atone for our sins and reveal His love. Through Jesus, not only are our sins forgiven, but our hearts are also healed, and our spirits renewed.

In today’s Bible reading, Jesus clearly reveals His identity, mission, and the way to the Father. He is the gate to eternal life (John 10:9), and the only way to God (John 14:6).

This truth applies to everyone who has accepted Him as Saviour and Lord, and who walks with the Holy Spirit.

When we live in fellowship with God, the Holy Spirit brings restoration in every area of our lives, just as Psalm 1:1-3 describes: “Blessed is the man whose delight is in the law of the Lord. He is like a tree planted by streams of water in all that he does, he prospers.”

Have you accepted God’s offer of restoration through Christ? Can you share your salvation testimony today?

🙏PRAYER:
Spirit of the living God, awaken those who read this devotional, but lack a true salvation experience and bring them to a genuine personal relationship with you through Jesus Christ, your Son.

🎯TOPIC: WHO IS YOUR SOURCE OF PROVISION?

📖BIBLE READING: GENESIS 21:14-21
14 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.

15 And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs.

16 And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bow shot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept.

17 And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.

18 Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.

19 And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.

20 And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer.

21 And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.

🗝️KEY VERSE:
“And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.” (Genesis 21:19)

✝️MEDITATION:
Many pastors complain about their assignments due to the poor welfare provided for them and their families. This is like Father Abraham sending Hagar and Ishmael to a “new location” with just a bottle of water and some bread.

Sadly, these provisions ran out quickly.Desperate, Hagar acted as recorded in today’s Bible reading: “and she cast the child under one of the shrubs. And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat and lifted up her voice, and wept”.

Are many pastors and missionaries not weeping like Hagar today because their “water and bread” have run out? It's both instructive and comforting to know that the God who hears the cries of His people heard both Hagar and the lad.

The key lessons from this narrative include: Human assistance runs out on life’s journey, sometimes faster than we expect; we must pray earnestly to the Great Provider, who is the sure source of all provision; parents and children should seek God together.

It is recorded that God heard the voice of the lad; let us not distance ourselves from our children, nor they from us, when provision is lacking. Cry out to God—He can open your eyes to the “well of water” right where you are.

Who is the source of your provision, men or God?

🙏PRAYER:
O Lord, send help today to our stranded missionaries and Christian workers in the field.

🎯TOPIC: PROFITABILITY OF CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

📖BIBLE READING: PSALMS 133:1-3
1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

🗝️KEY VERSE:
"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." (Hebrews 10:25)

✝️MEDITATION:
Reflecting on my journey with Jesus over the past two decades, I often wonder where I would have been without the believers who revealed glimpses of Him to me.

I had a classmate who became a dear friend and helped deepen my understanding of Christ. He prayed with me, encouraged me, and read Scripture with me—showing me God’s love in action.

One verse that forever marked me is Romans 5:8: "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Today’s Bible reading highlights the blessings of Christian fellowship: “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.”

Therefore, to thrive as a believer, staying connected with fellow Christians is essential.
Jesus Himself prayed that His followers would experience the same unity He shares with the Father (John 17:21). This unity strengthens our walk with Him.

If you don’t have someone to walk closely with in faith, seek out such relationships. Ask God to lead you to a spiritual mentor, join a discipleship group, or attend a Bible-believing church’s study group.

As Proverbs 27:17 says, "Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend."

Do you spend time with those who spur you on toward godliness or with those indifferent to eternal things?

🙏PRAYER:
Jesus, help me to desire the company of those with eternity in view.

🎯TOPIC: GOD, THE DEPENDABLE PROMISE KEEPER

📖BIBLE READING: GENESIS 18:9-15
9 And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent.

10 And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.

11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.

12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?

13 And the Lord said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?

14 Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

15 Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.

🗝️KEY VERSE:
“And the LORD visited Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did for Sarah as He had spoken.” GENESIS 21:1

✝️MEDITATION:
God is ever faithful to His words and promises. "God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19).

One word from God is enough to conquer all fear, worry, and anxiety—His word is yea and amen (2 Corinthians 1:20).

Joseph had a dream of greatness. Though his brothers conspired against him, God's purpose prevailed. “But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good” (Genesis 50:20).

God promised Jehoshaphat victory over the allied nations opposing him (2 Chronicles 20:17). True to His word, Judah fought no battle but spent “three days in gathering the spoil” (2 Chronicles 20:25).

In today’s passage, God visited Abraham, reaffirming His promise of a son. Sarah laughed in disbelief, but God declared, “Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you and Sarah shall have a son.” (Genesis 18:14).

And as promised, “the LORD visited Sarah and did for Sarah as He had spoken.” (Genesis 21:1). God cannot fail, change, or lie! (Hebrews 13:5, 8; Numbers 23:19; Titus 1:2).

What are you trusting Him for? What promise are you holding onto?

🙏PRAYER:
Oh Lord, bring to pass all Your precious promises concerning me and my family.

🎯TOPIC: CAN GOD VOUCH FOR YOU?

📖BIBLE READING: JOB 1:1-12
1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.

2 And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters.

3 His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.

4 And his sons went and feasted in their houses, every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them.

5 And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.

6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.

7 And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

8 And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil

9 Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought

10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.

12 And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.

🗝️KEY VERSE:
“Then the LORD said to Satan, ‘Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil." JOB 1:8

✝️MEDITATION:
Personality refers to the psychological and social qualities that distinguish one person from another. It includes the traits that make someone stand out.

Proverbs 22:1 says, “A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, loving favour rather than silver and gold.”

God testified about Abraham and said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing, since Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation? For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that the LORD may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him.” (Genesis 18:17-20).

This was a divine commendation of Abraham’s character.

Similarly, Ecclesiastes 7:1 says, “A good name is better than precious ointment, and the day of death than the day of one's birth.”

In today’s passage, Satan challenged God concerning Job. God replied, “Have you considered My servant Job?” (Job 1:8).

Satan insisted Job’s loyalty stemmed from his prosperity and dared God to test him. God allowed it. Job lost his children, wealth, and health.

Yet, “In all this, Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong.” (Job 1:22).

Hebrews 11 highlights an array of heroes of faith, “For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.” (Hebrews 11:2).

God vouched for them.

Can God—through your leaders—vouch for your integrity and Christian commitment?

🙏PRAYER:
Dear Lord, help me not to betray Your trust. I refuse to receive Your grace in vain.

🎯TOPIC: WHEN GOD CONTENDS WITH YOUR ENEMIES

📖BIBLE READING: EXODUS 14:10-18
10 And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the Lord.

11 And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt

12 Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.

13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

14 The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

15 And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:

16 But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.

17 And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.

18 And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I have gotten me honour upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.

🗝️KEY VERSE:
“But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.” ISAIAH 49:25

✝️MEDITATION:
God’s promise to contend with those who rise against us is firmly established in Scripture (Exodus 14:14; Psalm 35:1–2; Romans 8:31; Isaiah 54:17).

All a believer in Christ needs to do is place their trust and confidence in Him (Psalm 27:1; 2 Chronicles 20:15).

In 2 Chronicles 20, the people of Moab, Ammon, and Mount Seir— a great multitude—came against Judah. Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, sought help from the Lord.

God assured Israel of victory through an unusual strategy - praise and worship, “When they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir… and they were smitten.” (2 Chronicles 20:22).

When God contends with your enemy, no force can hinder your victory.

In today’s Bible text, after Israel’s deliverance from 430 years of slavery, Pharaoh pursued them to return them to bo***ge. Trapped between the Red Sea and the wilderness, the Israelites cried out.

Moses said, “Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more forever.”

God arose, fought for them, and Pharaoh’s army drowned in the Red Sea—becoming fish food!

When have you experienced God fighting your battles and silencing your enemies forever?

🙏PRAYER:
Oh Lord, arise and contend with every Pharaoh that rises against me in my journey of faith.

🎯TOPIC: SHARING IN YOUR TROUBLES AND NEEDS

📖BIBLE READING: PHILIPPIANS 4:14-20
14 Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.

15 Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.

16 For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.

17 Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

18 But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.

19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

20 Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

🗝️KEY VERSE:
"Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction." (Philippians 4:14)

✝️MEDITATION:
From the birth of the early church in Acts 2:40-42, and after the Day of Pentecost, the Apostles and the thousands of converts that joined the early disciples were together, and had all things in common (Acts 4:34-35).

When Apostle Paul was converted in Acts 9 and until he was sent to jail in Rome for preaching the gospel, many of the disciples and his converts shared in their troubles and needs together.

In doing so, they accomplished a lot working together.

The Philippian believers pooled their efforts and resources to support the apostle Paul. Lydia and her family welcomed him into their home (Acts 16:13-15).

Clement, Euodia, and Syntyche all worked directly with the apostle to spread the good news ,
(Philippians 4:2-3).

Later, when Paul was imprisoned in Rome, the church gathered essentials for a care package and delivered it via Epaphroditus.

The examples of believers in Jesus Christ serving together in the early church can inspire us today. Cooperating with fellow believers to pray and serve others, including sharing in our troubles and needs as God leads and empowers us, accomplishes much more than we could ever do on our own.

In today’s text, the church in Macedonia received high praise from Paul because they were quick to respond even in their troubles and needs and their economic challenges, unlike the wealthy church in Corinth.

This is the context of the often quoted passage, Philippians 4:19, by many ‘prosperity preachers.’

Do you share with brethren even in your troubles and needs, or only when you have surplus?

🙏PRAYER:
Dear Lord, please teach me genuine sacrifice when it matters most.

🎯TOPIC: WOMAN, NOT GOD'S AFTERTHOUGHT

📖BIBLE READING: GENESIS 1:27-28; JOHN 4:7-19, 26

GENESIS 1:27-28
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

JOHN 4:7-19
7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.

8 (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)

9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water

12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle

13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:

14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.

16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.

17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:

18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.

19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.

JOHN 4:26
26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

🗝️KEY VERSE:
“God created human beings in His own image. In the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.”(Genesis 1:27)

✝️MEDITATION:
In a world that often diminishes and dismisses women, God’s love offers a radical contrast. From the beginning, God created male and female in His image—neither superior nor inferior.

Both were made to complement each other.

John 4:27 reveals a striking truth: Jesus not only acknowledged women, but He honoured them. In a culture that silenced women, He listened. Where they were shamed, He gave them dignity and purpose.

Before Jesus came, women were often treated as property—ignored and voiceless. In John 4:7–26, He engaged with a Samaritan woman—a social outcast—and offered her living water and a divine mission. He saw not her past, but her potential.

In John 8:3–11, when religious leaders brought a woman caught in adultery—but not her partner—Jesus refused to condemn her. Instead, He extended mercy, proving that a woman’s worth is defined not by societal judgment but by God’s grace.

Women are not an afterthought. Whether made to feel invisible or broken, Jesus sees, loves, and calls them His own.

Their worth lies not in roles or achievements, but in God's original mandate: “And God blessed them... be fruitful, and multiply and have dominion” (Genesis 1:28)

Jesus died for all—male and female. The Gospel values and treats both equally.

Has there been a time you disdained a woman—or, as a woman, felt less than God sees you?

🙏PRAYER:
Father Lord, break every lie in our society and faith community that places lesser value on women or redefines their worth before you, our loving and impartial God.

🎯TOPIC: MY GOD SHALL SUPPLY YOUR NEEDS

📖BIBLE READING: LUKE 18:1-8
1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:

3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.

4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.

7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them

8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth

🗝️KEY VERSE:
"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19)

✝️MEDITATION:
In today’s Bible text, we read the remarkable story of a poor widow who wanted a judge to grant her justice and protect her against her oppressors. The Bible described the judge as follows: “a thick–skinned and godless man who had no fear of others' opinion”.

Despite his ignoring her plea for quite some time, the poor widow was undaunted in her request and was persistent.

The judge said, “This widow keeps annoying me, demanding her rights, and I am tired of listening to her. I will just get her off my back by answering her claims for justice, and I will rule in her favour. Then she will leave me alone.”

This story serves as a reminder of the boundless generosity of God, who gives according to His riches rather than our perceived needs.

Jesus said, “Don’t you know that God, the true judge, will grant justice to all of His chosen ones who cry out to him night and day? He will pour out His Spirit upon them. He will not delay to answer you and give you what you ask for.”

As believers, we are assured of God's unfailing promise to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus and are called to approach God with boldness and persistence, knowing He delights in meeting us at the point of our need (Matthew 7:7)

Are you persistent in your prayers?

🎯TOPIC: BUILDING A LEGACY OF FAITH

📖BIBLE READING: 2 TIMOTHY 1:1-5
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,

2 To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

3 I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;

4 Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;

5 When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.

🗝️KEY VERSE:
"When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also." (2 Timothy 1:5)

✝️MEDITATION:
Legacy in today’s devotion refers to something valuable received from an ancestor. These include landed properties, houses, cars, businesses, religious beliefs, and more.

In today’s Bible reading, we saw a legacy of unfeigned faith in the Lord Jesus Christ by Timothy, courtesy of his mother and grandmother.

A man can only give what he has.

Another keyword in today’s devotion is ‘Building’. It takes expertise, determination, and conscious effort to build.

It is very crucial that we leave a quality legacy, not only material but also spiritual things, for our upcoming generations. We must do the best we can to secure the future of our children, not only in material things but more so in their future with God.

“A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just" (Proverbs 13:22).

Meditate on God’s testimony about Abraham in Genesis 18:19.

God expects His children to inculcate godly values and faith in God into their children, who will also pass the same to their children to ensure continuity of godliness on earth.

Therefore, the big question is “what will I be remembered for?”

What legacy are you leaving for your children that can make them better citizens and members of the community of faith?

🙏PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, empower me to make positive and eternal impact on my family and generation.
