About 'DRAMA MINISTRY'

Let's be straight.
Drama is acted. It's faked. It's not real. It's illusion trying to catch up with reality.
In acting, playing on the psychology and emotion of your audience is topmost priority.
That is why so much is spent on the production of 'big movies' so as to make it look as real as possible. Or better put, to deceive the audience as much as possible. The actors must talk, express, in such a way that the falseness is not obvious.
I remember watching a movie with someone sometimes ago and I kept analysing, and debunking their tricks and pointing out the errors. This person had to tell me to stop analyzing or just go away cos I won't let enjoy the movie. Lol.
Now that's the point!
It's all a bundle of tricks and make-beliefs and all it takes to 'destroy' it is to bear in mind that IT'S NOT REAL...
Imagine we using these kind of method to preach the gospel.
No intelligent unbeliever will receive such gospel, cos he knows it's all staged.
Trying to convince him God's power can raise the dead using a dead that is not really dead.
He'll just laugh it off.

Do sinners get 'convicted' via filmshows especially during village outreaches.
Yes.
But then, we should know we just took advantage of their illiteracy or inexposure to make them accept our message.
That's tantamount to manipulation.
That's against the nature of the gospel we preach.
Our message must be presented in such a way that it can't be faulted by common sense.
It must be presented In plainness of speech, not deceits, playing on men's emotions, stage management.
It's REALITY must remain a REALITY to all men irrespective of who they are.

We were given a message and we're given the method to spread it.

Open your mouth and preach...with REAL signs and wonders following!

A hundred thousand talents of Gold
A million talents of silver
Brass and iron with measureless weight
Different kinds of precious stones, were the building materials.
Such value!
They might have thought God's value system was the same as theirs
Impressive!
They might have thought God would be impressed like they were.
But God never dwelt there
Isn't it amazing that things men called precious and priceless didn't move God an inch?
But something else does....
He didn't dwell in the temple made with hands, but he would dwell in the hands that made the temple.
He didn't live in the sanctuary made by the people but he would have the people for a sanctuary.
A people he would wash and buy with a PRICE.
A people whom all the wealth and treasures of the world cannot quantify.
A people he would call his own workmanship, his own masterpiece, his own cathedral, his own state-of-the-art facility.
A people in whom he made a space 'big' enough to contain himself.

“......for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”
— 2 Corinthians 6:16 (KJV)
Amen.

Dear believer,
Not everybody around you will like the faith you profess; get used to it.
You will have school colleagues who think 'your own is too much'; get used to it.
You will have superiors and subordinates at work who don't share your conviction; get used to it.
You will have loved ones, families and relatives who read your posts and find your loudness annoying; get used to it.
You will lose friends because you herald Christ unapologetically; get used to it.
Our Lord Jesus Christ said it is normal for the world to hate us because it hated him first; so get used to it.
Choosing to follow Christ means, pleasing him comes before pleasing everyone else.
So be loud about your conviction!
Wear it like a badge!
Yes, carry it on your head!
In the long run, those who don't like it will either start to avoid you or just learn to accept you that way. It doesn't matter.
Do not let the crave for acceptance or the fear of rejection shut you up.

Remain UNASHAMED!

I was checking out some Christian kids songs on Youtube recently and I stummbled on songs like,
"Jesus loves me"
"I've got joy like a river" etc
These were some songs we sang jumping around with such joy and happiness, throwing ourselves at the Father in reckless abandon...
Then somehow we grew up and instead growing in the faith, we grew in sin consciousness.
So we started to sing 'Adult songs' like,
"Lord you seem so faraway"
"Pass me not O gentle Saviour" and so on.
The One we once claimed loves us so much years ago is the one we now beg and cry to not to pass us by.
What changed?
Definitely not Jesus!
His love for us doesn't wane with time.
No. We were the ones who lost that childlike heart.
We were the ones who lost that consciousness of his unconditional love for us.
We left the simple basics and we went deeper - deeper into errors.

You see, these sounds and shouts of "Jesus loves me", "Jesus died for me" are reasons some children Sunday schools will always be more edifying than some adult churches;
because they keep emphasizing key gospel facts - some facts the adults think they've outgrown.

Some leadings of the spirit that would make a huge difference in your life when followed may not come via spectacular 'encounters', visions, trances etc.
They may just come like promptings, impressions, nudges on your heart.
Do not ignore because they come simple, mild and undramatic.
Many have been preserved from grave dangers, escaped years of waste etc because they heeded a simple urge.

One thing to learn from the Apostles is that they were never waiting for platforms to preach; rather, they created them.

They radically maximized opportunities.
Peter got 3000 and 5000 saved without having to organize crusades, rent a big hall and share flyers.
He simply took advantage of the moment.

Stephen wouldn't mind preaching a long sermon to a hostile congregation amidst fierce persecution; and Paul who would later write more than half of New Testament books heard him.

Just waiting for Silas and Timothy, Paul saw it an opportunity to preached Christ to those superstitious Athenians, suddenly turning the Mar's Hill into his podium.

It was only a 'defense', yet Paul in bonds, almost persuaded Agrippa to become a Christian. Even before the authorities, he didn't keep quiet in the name of 'using wisdom'.

Such spontaneity!
Such radicalism!

No wonder these people turned the world upside down!

I believe we will see much more in this age, if like them, we learn to see seemingly unlikely situations as golden opportunities to make Christ known!

Imagine I read
*Luke 14:26 (KJV) If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.*

Then I go to my parents and say, "Dad, henceforth I hate you! Mum, henceforth I hate you"!
Then you ask me, why?
I reply and say I'm only obeying Jesus in Luke 14:26....
You try to explain to me that, that isn't what that text is saying; that's not the context....
But then I tell you it doesn't matter, That's my own personal 'rhema' from it. That's how the 'holy spirit' interpreted it to me. I don't care about context, I read the spirit and not the letter...blablabla..
You know how crazy that sounds, right?

That's exactly how we sound when we ignore contexts in Bible study in the name of getting some lazy 'rhema'. That we got excited doesn't mean it's God's word.
Excitement is NOT revelation knowledge.
If the Bible is in a written form, then simple literary rules like, contexts, tenses, figures of speech, the writer's frame of mind, who said what was said, to whom it was said, etc applies, for us to get the precise meaning of texts.
There is such a thing called 'RIGHTLY dividing the word of truth'. 'Anything' does NOT go!
Let's stop dignifying ignorance and falsehood in the name of, "that's how the holy spirit interpreted it to me...".

The Holy spirit is not disorderly.
Amen?

See in this life, no one can have it all.
You can't have the most beautiful or handsome spouse. There will always the something your spouse lacks that someone else has.

It's only in movies that 'Actor' gets the best girl; and that's because he's the central character of the movie.
But You are NOT the central character of the universe, so calm down!😏

You can't have the brightest kids. It's only in Africa that many parents think only their own kids must come first in class, like it's a right.
They'd even s***k their kids for coming 4th.
Most times it's not even about their kids performing well; it's about their kids outperforming everyone else, even if he scores 17/100.
Talk of competitive mindset....😟

Same way many pray to God that they would be the wealthiest in their family and quote "I shall be the head and not the tail" to 'support' the prayer. They think it's okay for others to be the 'tail' as long they are the 'head', in that context....
Imagine all the members of the family praying such, which of them would God answer (since we can only have one 'head')....😕

Again, you can't have it all... Trying to do this would be tantamount to chasing shadows... You would never be satisfied and fulfilled.
True satisfaction in this life can only come from BEING CONTENT.
CONTENTMENT is the real deal!
Be thankful for what you have
Where you can, try to get better, and where you can't, stay contented.
No pressures!

Yes, In the things of the Kingdom of God we have ALL in Christ, therein lies our boasting, but in the things of this world, not at all.
Even our Lord Jesus said His kingdom is not of this world...
So...relax!
Good morning.

Samuel was one who started functioning as a prophet at a very tender age. He started very early.
He was the game changer when "the word of the Lord was precious and there was no open vision".

He became respected.
None of his words fell to the ground.

He became so popular that ALL Israel knew he was established to be the prophet of the Lord.
He was on TV, had massive Facebook and twitter followership.
His meetings were filled to the brim.
Then guess what?

He became Israel's judge. He led the entire nation..."all the days of his life". Officially the Daddy G.O to the whole of Israel.
And when they wanted a King, he was the kingmaker.
He was the one who selected and anointed.
That's quite some CV you know....

But let's not miss the point here.
Saul was the most handsome man in Israel in those days. He was also the Tallest that from his shoulders upward, he was higher than any of the people.

So when he was about to be proclaimed as King,
1 Samuel 10:24 (KJV) And Samuel said to all the people, See ye him whom the LORD hath chosen, that there is none like him among all the people? And all the people shouted, and said, God save the king.

To Samuel, the fact that Saul was the tallest is the proof that he's the chosen of the Lord.

And all the people bought this doctrine too.
He might have taught it in conferences and seminars for years, published books, written articles, that physical stature is a validation for kingship....many would have downloaded it from ministry website.

And no one would question him because......this is prophet Samuel we are talking about here, who had a reputation from his youth that none of his words fell to the ground.

And even if one young minister comes to tell him this doctrine is wrong, he would have told him and said,
"Go and sit down young man...what do you know? I've been in ministry before you were born. I've been preaching this because it has worked for me. How dare you say a respected father in the faith like myself is wrong...."

But then he had a cause to anoint another king.
He would have walked to Jesse's with all confidence from his plenty years in ministry.
He knew exactly what to do and who to chose. At a glance at the height and stature, he would know.
That ideology has worked for him before. It will work now.

1 Samuel 16:6 (KJV) And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the LORD'S anointed is before him.

"SURELY". He was convinced! Persuaded! This means a man can be so convinced and sound so convincing, and yet be VERY WRONG!

He got the shocker of his life...
1 Samuel 16:7 (KJV) But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

So that was how The ArchBishop's age long theology crumbled and crashed!!!
Imagine if he never had to anoint another king after Saul.
Many would have thought that was Daddy G.O's personal revelation... it's some deep 'mystery' God has showed him....

I hope you got the message here...
Good morning!

The Apostle Paul speaks of earthly riches as being "uncertain". 1Tim.6:17.
And of course, he was writing to believers.
So now since we see that there is no certainty that a believer would have riches in this world, how is the believer then expected to live and thrive?
Again the Apostle Paul gave a strong clue...
Philippians 4:12 (KJV) I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
We must know to how to abound when there's much and abase when we have little.
How to handle ourselves in fullness and in hunger.
How we let neither of the states dictate the state of our heart, or control us.
This is a vital spiritual skill every believer must learn.
Paul said in the previous verse.
Philippians 4:11 (KJV) Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
In WHATSOEVER STATE I am, to be CONTENT...
This is something to take very good note of.
Sometimes we might think we only need to be contented when we have little.
But Paul is saying, "in whatsoever state...." This implies that even in much, we must also practice contentment.
We must know when to stop acquiring unnecessarily.... We don't have to get all the brands and colors available in market. We must not be materialistic believers.
This is how to abound in plenty.
In lack too...
And this 'how' is summarized in one word - Contentment.
We must all learn this.

It's not just enough to tell people to read their Bibles.
We should also teach them the HOW to read it.
Because studying wrongly is as good as not studying at all.
