💔😭 NIGERIANS, MUSLIMS, ISLAMIC LEADERS — PLEASE HELP US SAVE OUR SISTER 😭💔
I am writing this with tears in my eyes and a heavy heart. I honestly do not know where else to turn again.
A sister, Sofiyyah, has been suffering terribly simply because she chose to practice the Sunnah and obey Allah.
Her family was against her practising Islam the way she desired. She begged her father, Jimoh Taakan of Taakan Village, with tears to please allow her to practice the Sunnah peacefully. She begged everyone in the family to help plead on her behalf, but nobody listened.
Instead, they forcefully arranged a marriage for her against her wish.
One midnight, they wanted to take her to the unknown husband they had chosen for her.
By Allah’s mercy, she noticed what was happening and escaped that same night.
Since then, she has been begging and crying for them not to force her into this marriage and to allow her to practice her deen in peace.
But what happened recently broke our hearts completely.
On Thursday, 21st May, 2026, they asked her to come to Sosoki Village in Ilorin, saying they wanted to settle the issue and resolve the matter peacefully.
Unknown to her, it was a setup.
They removed all her clothes.
They beat her mercilessly.
They stripped her naked.
They burnt her clothes and even her niqab.
Then that same night, they forcefully took her again to the man they wanted her to marry.
💔 Since Thursday, 21st May, 2026, we have not heard from her.
No calls.
No message.
There is no information about her condition.
We are scared.
We are crying.
We do not know if she is safe.
Please, I am begging respected Islamic scholars, imams, Muslim organizations, human rights activists, and every compassionate Nigerian — PLEASE HELP US.
Forced marriage is not Islam.
Beating and humiliating a woman is not Islam.
Where is our sister?
Please help us raise awareness and share this post until it reaches those who can intervene and save her.
