PROPHECY 4

Topic: Labour in Prophecy

Prophetic words make the future predictable. It give a level of certainty in an uncertain world.
But to every prophetic word that comes, there is a required labour for its fulfillment.

A. Physical side of the labour

(i) Planning (Acts 11:27-30)
(ii) Work, both soft and hard work (2 Tim 2:15, 1 Corint 15:20)
(iii) Character (2 Tim 3:16-17, 4:12, 2 Peter 3:1-9)

PROPHECY - PART III

Topic - Receiving & Releasing Prophetic Words into action
Text - Acts 13'1-3

There are two layers of prophecy. The first is to "Go and Become"... the second layer is to "Go and Achieve".

These two layers sound similar but they are not released for the same purpose.

You must understand that greatness does not just manifest, you first BECOME a great person. The real labour is to become the prophecy.

Methods of receiving prophecy:
I. By the word. The scripture is the surest source of prophecy
II. By a prophet, i.e a believer that knows God
III. By inward witnessing, i.e the Holy Spirit speaking to your mind
IV. Interpretation of tongues
V. Visions, trances and other spooky events

Methods of releasing prophecy into action:
A. You must accept God's word as prophecy and speak it (Jer 1'9)
B. Trust and Faith in God (Heb 11'6-7,8-12)
C. Submission to God and follow Him
D. Knowledge of God (Relationship with Him)
