*TOPIC: ASKING FOR MERCY*

*MEMORISE:*
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever *(Psalm 23:6).*

13. Return, O Lord! How long? And have compassion on Your servants.

14. Oh, satisfy us early with Your mercy, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days!

15. Make us glad according to the days in which You have afflicted us, the years in which we have seen evil.

*EXPOSITION*
An important thing that one shouldn't lack is divine mercy-His act of kindness/goodness. It comes as a result of His grace upon one. Mercy and favour are often used synonymously. When mercy eludes one, it means God's presence and goodness aren't with one. No wonder, that blind man asked Jesus to have mercy on him, instead of saying He should make him see, at first. He shouted for mercy. The moment he called on Jesus for divine mercy, his predicament (blindness) disappeared and he began to see again. This confirms the fact of this Scripture: _Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved_ (Rom. 10:13). Nothing should stop you from asking for the mercy of God. Divine mercy will add colour to your life and make you able to achieve with ease, those things that hitherto seem difficult. Those that mercy of God spoke for in the Bible had their lives receiving tremendous turnarounds. Do you remember Mephibosheth, Saul's grandson? He was sought for by King David (2 Sam. 9:1-13). Mercy found that crippled man. Following the death of a priest during the Ark's journey to Jerusalem, Obed-Edom also experienced God's mercy within three months. He became so wealthy that the king was prompted to move the Ark to his own place (2 Sam. 6:1-12). Ask God to satisfy you with His unlimited mercy now (Psa. 90:14). You'll be glad you did especially, on this International Jazz Day.

*PRAYER POINTS*
1. Oh Lord my God, I need Your mercy to speak for me in all areas of my life.

2. Every power withdrawing the mercy of God from me, loose your grip, in the mighty name of Jesus.

3. Pray for CAC Music Department, the Director and the staff as led by the Spirit of God.

EXPOSITION
Just as a vision can be actualised, it can also be killed. No vision can be actualised, if it is not initiated, processed and developed. Many visions never see the light of the day because they lack the requisite characteristics. There are many "great books" that were never written, many "inspiring songs" that were never sung, many "great economic and political ideas" that were never shared. On most cases, the visionaries or their associates never gave it the needed drive and focus. The devil is not just looking for men to destroy. He also seeks to destroy the destinies and visions, since destroying them would destroy their owners. Satan is the chief vision killer. How then can you protect your vision from being terminated?

Firstly, place your vision in line with the standard of God's Word, and not the worldly perspective (Matt. 4:4). Secondly, the vision must gain God's approval and you must seek His face and counsel for divine direction (Prov. 16:3). Thirdly, get godly advice from godly mentors and leaders (Prov. 11:14). Without counsel, plan (vision) go awry, but in the multitude of counsellors, they are established (Prov. 15:22). Also, hold on to your God-given vision; it is a strong red alert to keep the devil away. He will try to stop you, but when you hold on to God firmly, you shall surely overcome. Happy World Day for Safety and Health at Work

1. I receive uncommon grace to manifest my God-given vision, in Jesus' name.
2. I declare: my vision shall not be terminated/aborted, in Jesus' name.
3. Oh Lord God, help believers to stay focus on their pilgrimage to heaven, while at the same time not being irrelevant, here on earth.

[1]. I will stand my watch and set myself on the rampart, and watch to see what He will say to me, and what I will answer when I am corrected.
[2]. Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.
[3]. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

EXPOSITION
Life becomes meaningful and purposeful when you know what you are living for, and where you are heading to. Vision is the ability to picture the future from where you are. So, to have a vision is to have foresight with the knowledge of what you want to accomplish. If a man lacks vision, he lacks direction of purpose. _Where there is no vision, the people perish..._ (Prov. 29:18a KJV). God told Habakkuk to write the vision and make it plain on tablets that he may run who reads it (Hab. 2:2). To make your vision achievable, it has to be broken into attainable forms.

The first thing to do is to write it down. Writing down vision implies defining it in the achievable format. Through writing, a clear and visible image of the future can be well captured. Writing is the best way to retain a thought. There is the tendency to forget what has been captured in the memory, but whatever is documented is more durable. The LORD instructed Habakkuk, _Write the vision and make it plain on tablets_ (Hab. 2:2a). He is telling you the same thing, even as today marks World Intellectual Property Day. Do you have the vision for your life, home, ministry, career, etc. clearly spelt out? Do it now!

PRAYER POINTS
1. Lord Jesus, open the eyes of my mind to visualise the glorious future You have for my life.
2. I receive divine energy to fulfil my God-given mandate here on earth, in Jesus' name.
3. Dear Lord, help our leaders in all facets to lead rightly in line with God's direction and purpose in focus.

GOD IS ALREADY IN THE ARK

MEMORISE
Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28).

[1]. Then the Lord said to Noah, “Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation.
[2]. You shall take with you seven each of every clean animal, a male and his female; two each of animals that are unclean, a male and his female;
[3]. also seven each of birds of the air, male and female, to keep the species alive on the face of all the earth.
[4]. For after seven more days I will cause it to rain on the earth forty days and forty nights, and I will destroy from the face of the earth all living things that I have made.”
[5]. And Noah did according to all that the Lord commanded him.

EXPOSITION
God is so kind that He goes with you when you are sent on an errand and completes it i by Himself. Whatever He asks you to do for Him, He is there. He gave Noah the order to build the ark, and He was the first to board it. He had already finished the ark, which represents His own Son, Jesus Christ before He asked him to begin building. That is God for you! The fact that Noah's ark, the first of its kind, didn't sink or capsize in the face of such a massive flood should astound us. It survived the floatation principle because God is the supreme authority over physics and the universe. Because He is the great Technologist, the technology couldn't be faulted. Similarly, because the Lord was in the boat, the disciples' boat was rescued from the wreckage. There may indeed be difficult situations by the boisterous wind of life. Remember that God is with you in that very ark; you aren't alone. His word says, when you pass through the waters, I will be with you.... (Isa. 43:2). With God in your life, marriage, business, ministry, etc, you can never suffer any shipwreck.

Jesus, the provision of God for man's salvation that the ark of Noah foreshadows, is calling on everyone to enjoy God's rest from the flood of life (Matt. 11:28), even as today is National DNA Day and World Malaria Day. Don't reject His call because that is the only way you can accept Him into your life's boat (ark). Finally, like Noah, let God see that you are righteous and obedient (Gen. 7:1,5) to be able to stay with you in the ark God bless you.

1. Lord Jesus, I invite You afresh into my life, home, business, etc, day.
2. Oh Lord God, help our youths to give You the best of their lives and at the right time, in Jesus' name.
3. Pray for CAC Babalola Memorial International Miracle Camp, Ikeji Arakeji, Osun State, the Camp manager and the staff as led by the Spirit of God.
