Why not “Easter”… but “Resurrection Day”? 🤔
Have you ever paused to ask where the name Easter truly comes from?
The word “Easter” is believed to be linked to Eostre (Ostara) — an ancient Anglo-Saxon goddess associated with spring, dawn, and seasonal renewal.
Many common Easter symbols we see today — eggs, bunnies, celebrations of fertility — actually trace back to pre-Christian traditions that marked the arrival of spring.
But here’s the question…
What do these have to do with the resurrection of Jesus Christ?
The resurrection is not about seasons, symbols, or traditions.
It is about life, victory, and salvation through Christ.
This is a call to awareness:
Let us not blindly accept everything culture presents.
Let us study, discern, and stand on truth.
Christ is risen — and that is the message that matters. ✝️🔥
Happy Resurrection Day to you.
Help to spread this truth by sharing.
I love you with the love of Christ ❤️
