Every believer starts as a baby in Christ. But God never intended for us to stay there.
The Christian life isnโt just about getting saved, itโs about growing into sonship. And that growth is tested.
๐ ๐ ๐ท๐๐ 2:2 โ โLike newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.โ
Growth is expected. Stagnation is not.

God tests what we claim to love. These 3 areas expose who or what is really on the throne of your heart.

This test reveals whether the flesh or the Spirit rules you.

Money doesnโt make you greedy โ it reveals what was already there.
Jesus spent more time teaching on money than on heaven and hell combined because itโs a heart issue.

Saul lost his kingdom here. Jesus redefined power on the cross.
Power exposes pride. Only a son can be trusted with authority without being destroyed by it.

You know you belong. You learn doctrine, serve in the body, understand community.

Training begins. Cost becomes real. You learn discipline, obedience, and self-denial.

This is where the 3 tests start to hurt.

You operate from identity, not insecurity. Obedience flows from being loved, not earning love.

Sons steward responsibility. Babies avoid responsibility.

Not to condemn you, but to call you higher.

3๏ธโฃ ๐ต๐ถ ๐จ๐ท๐ท๐ฌ๐ป๐ฐ๐ป๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ถ๐น ๐ป๐ฏ๐ฌ ๐พ๐ถ๐น๐ซ โ The Bible feels heavy. You prefer motivational quotes over doctrine.
4๏ธโฃ ๐ต๐ถ ๐ณ๐ฐ๐ญ๐ฌ ๐ถ๐ญ ๐ช๐ถ๐ต๐บ๐ฌ๐ช๐น๐จ๐ป๐ฐ๐ถ๐ต โ Holiness feels like bo***ge, not freedom. ๐น๐๐ 12:1 becomes a burden.
5๏ธโฃ ๐ณ๐ฐ๐ฝ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฎ ๐ป๐ถ ๐ท๐ณ๐ฌ๐จ๐บ๐ฌ ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐น๐บ๐ฌ๐ณ๐ญ โ Comfort and approval drive decisions, not conviction.
Babies are self-focused and dependent. Sons are Christ-focused and responsible.
God isnโt mad at you for being a baby. Heโs grieved when you refuse to grow.
๐ ๐ฌ๐๐ 4:14-15 โ โThen we will no longer be infantsโฆ but speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is Christ.โ
โจ Youโre not called to stay in the nursery. The Father is waiting to raise you into sonship.
