TETMI TETMI is a missions' organisation whose mandate and vision is to take the whole gospel to the unreached, less reached and less evangelised rural populace.

TETMI was established in September 5th, 1985 at Imo hotels in Owerri. This was after the founder, Late Rev. Dr. S.M.I. Umune in company of Rev. Jerry Swank, a missionary with the then Sudan Interior Mission undertook a survey trip of all the then Eastern States of Nigeria, for the purpose of locating unreached areas and to find out how far the gospel had taken root in these areas. According to late Rev. Dr. Umune, at the end of the trip, Rev. Swank turned to him and asked him, “Sunday, who will take the gospel to these your people?”. This questioned burdened Rev. Dr. Umune more than before, especially on seeing the Spiritual condition of these people. Then as the Coordinator of Evangelical Missionary Society (EMS) of ECWA for the whole South/Eastern States, he worked diligently and tirelessly, to ensure that the gospel did spread in these regions.

FLOOD EMERGENCY IN AKAEZE: AN URGENT CALL FOR PRAYERS & RELIEF AIDS 🌊💔

While many of us enjoy the safety of our homes, offices, and schools, the people of Akaeze and its environs all in Ebonyi State, are currently battling severe flooding caused by overflowing riverbanks after many days of almost 24/7 heavy rainfalls.

The situation on the ground is critical. From our Headmistress’ residence to numerous community homes and parts of TETMI High School, families have been displaced as houses collapse under the surge of the waters. There are cries for help across the land.

In times like these, faith must put on boots.

TETMI is making an urgent appeal to our partners, supporters, and all well-meaning individuals to stand with us. We are mobilizing immediate emergency relief aids—food, shelter, financial support, and essential supplies—to bring comfort to displaced families during this trying season.

Situation Report in our Akaeze mission centre

Severe Flooding Across Akaeze, Edda, Okpanku, and Mpu
​Following a report from Mrs. Chukwu Esther, the TETMI School Supervisor, torrential rainfall this week has caused catastrophic flooding across Akaeze, Edda, Okpanku, and Mpu.

​The severe downpour has disrupted local academic activities by rendering major roads completely impassable. The overflowing Itimoyi/Iti Oji River has flooded surrounding residential areas, leading to the collapse of several homes and leaving numerous residents displaced—including the families of several pupils in Umobor.
​Additionally, the Headmistress of Akaezeukwu Nursery/Primary School suffered severe property damage when floodwaters completely submerged her home. She has temporarily relocated her children to a neighboring village while attempting to salvage her belongings.

​Educational and religious infrastructure has also been heavily impacted:

​High School Campus: Pastor Samuel Udichi reported that the Eziaku River has overflowed, completely submerging the access bridge and flooding the surrounding campus grounds.

​Evangelisers Missionary Church: Several church members have suffered structural collapses to their homes, resulting in the total destruction of household goods and personal property.
​The affected communities are requesting urgent prayers and financial support to assist with emergency relief and structural rebuilding efforts.

They took time to appraise the last 5 year strategic plan of the ministry which is to end by December 2026 and then together develop another 5 years strategic plan that will run till December 2031.

DAY 2 OF THE TETMI 2026 WOMEN'S CONFERENCE: EVANGELISM, TRUTH, & SEEDING FUTURE LEADERS! 🏃‍♀️🔥

Day 2 in Akaeze, Ebonyi State kicked off with unstoppable Kingdom energy! We took the Gospel to the streets before gathering for deep spiritual instruction, sisterly fellowship, and strategic leadership transitions.

Here is how our second day unfolded: 👇🏾

📢 Street Evangelism & City Gates Road Walk
> We started the morning strong with a high-impact road walk across key routes and city gates in Akaeze! Singing, declaring the word of God, and preaching the Gospel, many hearts were touched and led to repentance. Returning to the conference hall, the atmosphere erupted in high praise and dancing to celebrate a successful street mission!

⚖️ Exposing the "Little Foxes": Word Session
Our President’s Wife, Mommy Chinyere Umune, delivered a powerful charge focused on vigilance against subtle spiritual traps—the so-called "negligible" sins. She emphasized guarding against hidden sins of the heart, sins of omission, and compromises we often fail to call sin, reminding every woman that total purity leaves no room for gray areas.

📖 Bible Study: Contending in Times of Trial
Following a refreshing break, the women gathered for an empowering Bible study session titled "Contending for Your Faith in Times of Trial." The session anchored on unwavering resilience—charging women to stand firm, reject anything contrary to their life in Christ, and hold fast through every storm, knowing that the crown belongs to those who endure.

🤝 Empowerment & Welfare Support
Demonstration of love in action! Financial empowerment envelopes were presented to five selected women across the three districts to support their welfare, alongside a generous collective donation to bless all the women present.

👑 Pacesetting Leadership & Smooth Transition
A major highlight of the day was the election of new women executive leaders! We celebrated and honored our outgoing leaders who served faithfully over a 6-year tenure. The incoming leadership was charged to walk in deep humility and servant-leadership, while the outgoing leaders were encouraged to remain pillars of guidance and support.

The day concluded with fervent prayers and warm fellowship as everyone prepares for Day 3—our grand finale!

THE TETMI 2026 WOMEN'S CONFERENCE IN EBONYI STATE IS OFFICIALLY UNDERWAY! 🕊️🔥

​Day 1 was nothing short of glorious—filled with warm reconnections, deep reflective sessions, vibrant worship, and astounding testimonies of God's power!
​Here is a quick look at how our opening day unfolded: 👇🏾

​📖 Setting the Tone for Divine Encounter
The conference opened with a powerful time of prayer led by Rev. Abraham, who charged our hearts to be posture-ready for all that God has prepared. Drawing from his own life—recalling how God miraculously healed him of an appendix condition in a similar gathering back in the '90s—he reminded every woman to keep her total focus on God and maintain a personal expectation for transformation.

​💬 Deep Dives & Fellowship
During our Bible Study session, the women broke into interactive groups to digest a crucial topic: "The Reward of Purity in Marriage." It was a rich time of shared wisdom and mutual encouragement!

​🙌 High Praise & Heavenly Focus
Following a refreshing break, the atmosphere exploded with a supercharged praise session as the women danced, sang, and poured out heartfelt gratitude to Adonai!

​We then sat under a timely word from our President’s Wife, Mommy Chinyere Umune. She charged us to stay ultra-focused on the eternal prize, reminding us that the Christian race is strictly individual—there are no "peers" in heaven's race. She urged everyone to uphold God’s standard of purity in body, mind, and heart, as holiness remains the non-negotiable gateway to seeing Him.

​✨ Special Features & Unstoppable Testimonies
The day concluded with beautiful special ministering numbers and awe-inspiring testimonies of God's deliverance from breast cancer, fatal accidents, and near-death situations!

​God is truly moving in the hearts of our TETMI women in Ebonyi State. Stay tuned for more updates!
