TOPIC: DIVINE LAUGHTER

TEXT: GEN 21:1-7
Reference: Eccl 3:4

Laughter is the expression of joy or the explosive sound of the voice.

To laugh/smile also means to think something is funny
Prov. 15:15

Don't feel too old or young before God; come to him as a child, vulnerable and weak, so he can lift you.

CATEGORIES OF LAUGHTER

1. Body Chemical reaction laughter

2. Vindictive or judgemental laughter (Psalm 2:4)

3. Goodnews or victorious laughter

4. Holy Ghost-oriented or motivated laughter

REASONS FOR LAUGHTER

1. Laughter is a stress reduction therapy that relaxes all the muscles in the body (Prov. 12:25, Prov. 17:22)

2. Laughter is infectious. It helps in healing people around you.

3. It is a sure therapy for curing high blood pressure.

4. Laughter is a gift of God. (Gen 2:6)

5. Laughter is evidence of a sound mind (Prov. 14:30)

6. God laughs (Prov. 37:12-13)

THERAPEUTIC FORMULAS IN USING LAUGHTER IN SOLVING PROBLEMS.

1. Start your day with a smile

2. Decide to be intentional about smiling.

3. Schedule time to watch humorous shows

4. Stay deliberately close to people with a sense of humor

5. Make at least one person smile daily

6. Engage in soul-lifting praises

7. Learn to laugh at yourself sometimes (Matt 6:25). An example of how you can laugh at yourself is by looking at your childhood photo album. Also, laugh at yourself when you make mistakes.

Matt 6:33 says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

In conclusion, Don't worry about the situations or circumstances around you. If God So dressed the grasses and cared for the sparrows. He'll take care of you.
Just take it one step at a time. Be Joyful, and God will grant you your desires.

• We all need help from God but to access that help, one thing is required - HUMILITY.
• Pray in humility
• Humility attracts divinity (humility attracts Men but is more attractive to God)
• James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resists the proud, but giveth grace unto
the humble.
• Humble people seek God (2 Thessalonians 4:17, Philippians 4:6)
• Pray to God in utmost humility.
• Prayer does not always change things but prayer changes you.
• Likewise, the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Romans 8:26
• Life is spiritual and it only takes the Holy Ghost to get us involved.
