Farewell Message from the NEC 2024.
On behalf of the National Executive Committee (NEC) 2024, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the entire fellowship for the rare privilege of serving. It has been an honor to labor in this great vineyard, to uphold the constitution of our fellowship, and to work in a cordial partnership with the National Governing Council (NGC). Throughout this tenure, we committed ourselves to duty with sincerity, humility, and absolute dependence on God.
With the help of the Almighty, who is truly the strength behind every accomplishment, we witnessed remarkable progress across the fellowship.
Among the many blessings God granted us, we humbly highlight the following achievements:
• With the help of the directorate and the mission department of Imo Mission Synod, we successfully planted a church in Owerri.
• Mission Week impact across the nation, as all zones actively carried out outreach programs.
• Successfully organized the 2024 National Leadership Training and Prayer Retreat, with an impressive attendance and powerful ministrations.
• The completion of the SHE Project in every zone.
• The revival of both Abuja and Lagos Zones.
• The establishment of an online fellowship platform for the Lagos Zone.
• Supported 20 students across various zones with school fees, project fees, and other educational charges, made possible through the support of the directorate and a gracious member of the church.
• The creation of a job–opportunity platform for engineering graduates, empowering PSFites for life beyond the campus.
• The review and improvement of the School of the Word and Ministry Manual.
• During our time in office we recorded the highest compliance from zones,, exception of Lagos and Abuja zones.
• With God’s grace and the support of Okigwe Zone, inaugurated a new chapter in Arochukwu, Hugh Goldie Chapter.
• Conducted thorough training for NMI members in line with the Directorate of Lay Development.
• Holy Ghost Services across all the zones.
• Successfully secured an official car for the directorate, through the grace of God and the support of relevant stakeholders.
These accomplishments were not achieved by our wisdom, strength, or competence but solely through the grace, mercy, and enabling power of God. To Him alone belongs the glory.
However, we must also acknowledge with deep pain, the unfortunate incident surrounding the Treasurer’s inability to present the financial report. It saddens us that this singular issue attempted to overshadow the labour, sacrifices, and undeniable progress recorded during the year. Yet, we remain confident in this truth: God is the One who rewards His servants, and He will render to every man according to His perfect judgment. Our consolation is in Him.
As we step down, we wish to respectfully recommend the following to the Directorate:
• That students be utilized more actively during Impact Week, rather than relying mainly on Reverend ministers. The job opportunities provided to PSFites and the school-fee interventions across all zones were direct results of student-led engagements during Impact Week.
• That our National Leaders be genuinely appreciated rather than treated with suspicion or perceived incompetence. Leadership demands sacrifice. Many leaders quietly endure personal challenges and academic pressures, yet they remain committed to the work of the ministry. Honor strengthens leadership; suspicion weakens it.
Despite every challenge, serving in the PSF has been a priceless privilege. We have grown, learned, sacrificed, and been transformed. The lessons of leadership, humility, responsibility, and perseverance will remain with us for life.
To the fellowship, we pray you continue to rise from glory to glory.
And to God, our Help in ages past and our Hope for years to come, we return all praise.
Signed,
Asuquo Bassey Edet - President
