FECA Owerri Federation of college`s Ex-students Christian Association (FECA) Owerri Chapter We call the last category of people "FECA Forum of Senior Members (FOSM)."

The above named fellowship began with a group of nine girls who finished from the Federal Government Girl's College Calabar in 1990. Their purpose was to fellowship and look out for one another after school from backsliding. 19 years down the lane, FECA(Federal Ex-Students Christian Association) has grown into a network of more than 80 chapters across the nation divided into four regions: North-Ea

st, North-West, Eastern and Western regions. Some of the population are university undergraduates, some high school leavers, some still in high school and the remaining members who are now working and/or married. The chapters meet once every week for fellowship and major meetings at chapter and zonal levels are usually at the discretion of the leadership. Once in every year however, all chapters in Nigeria converge at a 4-day convention at National and Regional levels alternately.

A MEMO FROM THE OFFICE OF THE NATIONAL PRESIDENT
Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ. It is with great joy in our hearts that I write this memo to constitutional executives, members and FOS members of this great association, FECA Nigeria.
I write to inform you that the 10th national convention which was scheduled to hold in Abuja zone has been moved to Enugu zone for the following reasons;
1. State of Insecurity in the zone:
• This has began to raise parental restrictions on FECAites, and also considering that 60% of FECAites that attend our conventions are Freshers.
• There will be a FECA FOSM convention during this convention and a large number of senior members are expected to be present, we do not want the state of insecurity to restrict their attendance as very important issues will be discussed.
2. Consent of the zone: After a meeting with the convention planning committee and Abuja zone, we have their consent to move the convention location.
3. Strong Recommendations: Some of our founding members and board of trustee members of FECA Nigeria have recommended the change of location.
4. Conscience before God: This decision has been prayerfully considered and we have peace in our heart.
Please bear with us for all the inconveniences this might cause. We know that in the long run this decision will be for the common good of the general membership of FECA Nigeria.
Thank you as we join hands to make the 10th National Convention a huge success.
