When the enemy is running and there’s chaos, it’s because they don’t know what they are doing. God knows what He is doing and is taking you through the valley of the shadow of death. Many of us let pressure weigh us down, but when stress hormones are released, they can be channeled into something productive, something good can emerge from it.
Worry doesn’t change situations; it only releases stress hormones that weigh you down. As we go into 2026, we must become conscious of the predictable and unpredictable nature of God.
What is the predictable nature of God?
1. The predictability of God is rooted in the integrity of His word. If He has done it for one, He will do it for another.
2. His predictable nature is also based on His unchangeable nature. Malachi 3:6; Number 23:19; Romans 13:8; Hebrews 6:17-18
Whatever tries to shake your confidence in God, recall His deeds in your life. The testimonies of others remind us that God is still at work.
What are things we know about God?
1. God loves us no matter what. We are loved because God made us His children. His love does not tolerate us. Romans 8:38-39; 1 John 3:1
2. God honours His word. Psalm 138:2; Isaiah 40:8
3. God never abandons His own. Isaiah 49:14-16; Psalm 9:10; Hebrews 13:5
4. God is not wicked. Job 34:10-12
What do you do when you don’t know what God is doing?
1. Trust God totally. You may not understand what God is doing, but learn to trust Him. Psalm 3:5-8; Proverbs 30:5
2. Cast your burdens on Him. Psalm 55:22
3. Ask Him to show you what to do and obey Him. Exodus 14:21
4. Be patient as you wait on God. There’s a time for incubation, impartation and manifestation. James 5:7-8
As we go into 2026, rest assured that God is working. Don’t be anxious and trust in Him. His grace is sufficient for you. Habakkuk 3:17-19
