ATTACK ON PETER OBI: RULING HOUSE IN PANIC MODE?
The attack on Peter Obi in Venue State is a sign of jittery on the ruling party.
Monday Okpebholo fired the first primitive shot warning Peter Obi not to enter "his" state without his express permission. Now the Reverend Father at Government House in Makurdi warned earlier that Peter Obi is not welcome in his state even to commiserate with the families of murdered citizens who were victims of APCs bad governance.
For the avoidance of any doubt, Nigeria openly claims she is practicing democracy. Now if this be the case, why would anyone prevent opposition candidates from canvassing for votes across his or her constituency?
The irony of this bizarre attack is that the sitting governor is a Roman Catholic priest. Peter Obi is Catholic. In fact Peter Obi's brother is fellow Catholic priest like Alia in Benue state. It behoves on "Reverend Father" Alia to give Peter Obi absolute protection in his state, on at least two grounds:
1. He is a brother to a fellow Catholic and priest
2. He is a highly politically exposed person he should be given a top notch protection and security.
Based on the above, one finds it difficult to rationalize these attacks on Peter Obi if the motive is not just to stop him from rescuing Nigeria the APC and its corrupt, clueless and outdated rulers have debased r***d and almost buried alive.
One undeniable conclusion from all these senseless attacks on Peter Obi is that being the most talked about Nigerian today Obi has dwarfed all those using instruments of government to suppress him.
Nigeria's president is afraid to meet him one-on-one to debate or even discuss the affairs of Nigeria. The president's hired aides who were once his bitterest critics have found the baggage too big for their portfolios.
From these panic attacks and criticism of Peter Obi,it has become obvious that the election, 2027 has been won and lost.
Also two sure candidates Peter Obi and outgoing Bola will slug it out in 2027.
