Fathers, we have seen *FOUNDATION, FUNCTION, FUTURE, FIRE, FRUIT.*
Today in Part 6 we speak of *FIGHT* — _The Battles, Burdens, and Bruises of a Qualified Bishop._

*The Bishopric is warfare. It is not a throne of comfort. It is a place of sacrifice.*
If you are not ready to fight, you are not ready to govern.

*21. A QUALIFIED BISHOP CARRIES THE CARE OF ALL THE CHURCHES*
_2 Corinthians 11:28 - "Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches."_

A Bishop does not think local. *He thinks territorial.*
He must:
- *Bear the burden* for churches beyond his own.
- *Feel the pain* of brethren in other cities and nations.
- *Refuse tribalism* — The success of one Bishop is the success of all.

*A qualified Bishop loses sleep over the Church, not over his car.*

*22. A QUALIFIED BISHOP IS GENUINELY CONCERNED FOR THE STATE OF THE SAINTS*
_Philippians 2:20 - "For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state."_

There are hirelings, and there are fathers.
A qualified Bishop must:
- *Visit the sick, the poor, the struggling* — Not send a protocol officer.
- *Know the names* of his sons and their struggles.
- *Weep with those who weep* — Compassion is not weakness. It is apostolic.

*God is looking for men who care, not men who count offerings.*

*23. A QUALIFIED BISHOP BEGATS SONS THROUGH THE GOSPEL*
_1 Corinthians 4:15 - "For though ye have ten thousand instructors... yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you..."_

Instructors teach. *Fathers beget.*
A Bishop must:
- *Labor in travail* until Christ is formed in men — _Gal 4:19_
- *Correct, rebuke, and restore* — Love without truth is deception.

Today in Part 5 we talk about *FRUIT* — _The Proof and Evidence of a Qualified Bishop._

*A title without fruit is a tragedy. An office without results is an abomination.*
God does not call to decorate. *God calls to demonstrate.

*17. A QUALIFIED BISHOP ESTABLISHES ORDER WHERE THERE IS CHAOS*
_Titus 1:5 - "For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order..."_

A Bishop is sent to *order what is disorderly*.
He must:
- *Set structures* — Doctrine, discipline, finance, succession.
- *Correct what is lacking* — No excuses. Where he meets confusion, he brings clarity.
- *Establish courts of fathers* — To judge matters and preserve honor.

*If 5 years after you, the work is still in disorder, you did not qualify.*

*18. A QUALIFIED BISHOP ORDAINS AND RAISES OTHER ELDERS*
_Acts 14:23 - "And when they had ordained them elders in every church..."_

A Bishop reproduces government.
He must:
- *Identify elders* — Proven men, not hirelings.
- *Lay hands and release* — Impart grace, not just certificates.
- *Decentralize power* — Raise men so the work does not collapse when he travels.

*A Bishop who does everything alone is a bottleneck, not a builder.*

*19. A QUALIFIED BISHOP REBUILDS WASTE PLACES AND RUINS*
_Isaiah 61:4 - "And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations..."_

The Bishopric is a *rebuilding office*.
He must:
- *Rebuild Altars* that were pulled down.
- *Rebuild Families* in his territory — marriage, youth, fatherhood.
- *Rebuild Institutions* — Schools, hospitals, media, economy.

*A Bishop who only builds his church and ignores his city is not qualified.*

*20. A QUALIFIED BISHOP LEAVES A MEASURABLE LEGACY*
The final test is not applause. *The final test is FRUIT THAT REMAINS.* _John 15:16_

A qualified Bishop will leave:
1. *Sons in Ministry* — Men carrying his mantle.
2. *Systems that work* — That outlive his presence.
3. *Cities Transformed* — Measurable change in morality and righteousness.
4. *Doctrine Preserved* — The next generation still standing on truth.

*13. A QUALIFIED BISHOP STANDS IN THE GAP*

A Bishop is an *intercessor for a territory*.
He must:
- *Pray for his nation* when others are silent.
- *Wrestle in the spirit* over policies, wars, and revival.
- *Be a watchman* — See danger before it comes.

*If the Bishop is cold, the city will burn. If the Bishop is hot, the city will be preserved.*

*14. A QUALIFIED BISHOP IS A SHEPHERD AFTER GOD'S HEART*
_Jeremiah 3:15 - "And I will give you pastors according to mine heart..."_

God’s heart is the standard.
A Bishop after God’s heart must have:
- *Compassion* — He weeps with those who weep.
- *Courage* — He confronts kings and confronts error.
- *Conviction* — He cannot be bought, intimidated, or silenced.

*God is not looking for eloquence. He is looking for men after His heart.*

*15. A QUALIFIED BISHOP TURNS MANY TO RIGHTEOUSNESS*
_Daniel 12:3 - "And they that turn many to righteousness shall shine as the stars..."_

The true measure of a Bishop is *souls and systems changed*.
He must:
- *Preach repentance* and not just prosperity.
- *Raise righteous leaders* in government, business, and the Church.
- *Influence culture* so that righteousness exalts the nation.

*A Bishop who only fills church is not qualified. A Bishop must transform a city.*

*16. A QUALIFIED BISHOP CARRIES THE SPIRIT OF EXCELLENCE*

Excellence is not optional. It is *evidence of anointing*.
A Bishop must:
- *Do all things decently and in order* — _1 Cor 14:40_
- *Set the standard* in holiness, administration, and honor.
- *Refuse mediocrity* — In altar, in dressing, in speech, in meetings.

*When a Bishop is excellent, the Church becomes excellent. When the Church is excellent, the nation takes notice.*

God gives Bishops *KEYS*.
A qualified Bishop must:

- *Shut doors* against error, strange doctrine, and wolves.

*11. A QUALIFIED BISHOP IS A REBUILDER OF BROKEN WALLS*

A Bishop must:

Today we go deeper. The Bishopric is *weight*. It is not for boys. It is for fathers who can carry nations.

*5. A QUALIFIED BISHOP IS A SHEPHERD, NOT A HIRED HAND*
_Acts 20:28 - "Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock..."_

A Bishop does not use the flock. *The flock uses him.*
He must:
- *Feed the flock* — With truth, not entertainment.
- *Watch over the flock* — Discern wolves, protect the weak.
- *Bleed for the flock* — Be willing to suffer for those under him.

*A hired hand runs when there is danger. A Bishop stands.*

A Bishop is not a lord. He is a *steward*.
He must:

- *Submit to authority* — Even Bishops have a covering. No man is an island.

*Pride disqualifies faster than sin. God resists the proud.*

A Bishop does 3 things:
1. *Builds ALTARS* — Prayer, holiness, and the presence of God must be in his territory.
2. *Builds SYSTEMS* — Schools, structures, succession plans. Not just meetings.
3. *Builds MEN* — He must raise 3 men who can replace him. If you die and the work dies, you failed.

*The measure of a Bishop is not crowd size. It is what remains after him.*

*8. A QUALIFIED BISHOP CARRIES APOSTOLIC BURDEN FOR NATIONS*
A Bishop’s eyes must go beyond his church walls.
He must:
- *Speak to kings and governments* — _Proverbs 29:2_
- *Address moral issues in his nation*

*INTRODUCTION*
Beloved Fathers, the office of a Bishop is not a title of honor alone. It is a *governmental burden*.
God is raising order in the Church. And the question of this hour is: *Who is qualified to sit in the seat of a Bishop?*

A Bishop is not made by election alone. A Bishop is *proven, tested, and entrusted* by God.

*1. A QUALIFIED BISHOP IS A MAN OF CHARACTER*
_1 Timothy 3:2 - "A bishop then must be blameless..."_

Character is the foundation of the office.
A Bishop must be:
- *Above reproach* — No scandal, no hidden life.
- *Self-controlled* — He rules his house before he rules the Church.
- *Hospitable* — A father opens his doors to the brethren.

*God first looks at your life before He gives you His flock.*

*2. A QUALIFIED BISHOP IS A MAN OF DOCTRINE*
_Titus 1:9 - "Holding fast the faithful word..."_

A Bishop is a *guardian of truth*.
He must:
- *Teach sound doctrine* and not fables.
- *Rebuke error* and protect the Church from strange winds.
- *Be apt to teach* — he carries revelation, not just administration.

The Church will go only as far as the doctrine of her Bishops.

*3. A QUALIFIED BISHOP IS A MAN OF GOVERNMENT*
_1 Timothy 3:5 - "For if a man know not how to rule his own house..."_

The Bishopric is government.
A qualified Bishop must:
- *Rule well* — Order, structure, discipline.
- *Raise other leaders* — Fathers reproduce fathers.
- *Carry burden for nations* — Not just a church, but territories.

*We are not looking for clergymen. We are looking for FATHERS.*

*4. A QUALIFIED BISHOP IS A MAN OF HONOR AND LEGACY*
A Bishop must have:
- *Good report of them that are without* — _1 Tim 3:7_
- * A heart for unity* — He builds and does not scatter.
- *A long-term vision* — He is thinking about the next generation.

A Bishop plants what he may never sit under. That is legacy.

The Church is in crisis because we have too many titles and too few fathers.
