A PEEP INTO MY SERMON BOOK TODAY
TOPIC: DIVORCING THE PAST, REACHING FOR THE FUTURE.
Text: Phil3:12-15

#. Life is a place of mysteries and miseries.
#. There is no aspects of life that has no pain.
#. The pains of today, when well managed are the gains of tomorow.
#. There is no future without the past
#. You can therefore say that the womb of the future was the yesterday you saw or had.
As important as your Yesterday was, no matter how horrible and glorious, the scriptures admonished us to forget about the past.
WHAT IS YOUR PAST.
1. They were your nightmares
2. They were your defeats
3. They weree your inglorious moments.
4. They were your moments of disappointments and discouragements
5. They were your moments of death, sicknesses and afflictions.
I am not here to remind you about this pains of the past that you have had to without choice bury.
But rather I am here to tell you of how important it is to bury them and never to remember them.
#. Laying claim to a terrible past, and since it hurts, it also takeaway from you many things, including your joy.
The feelings of the past remind you of lots of ugly sceneries.
And since it's this way, it take everything God has given away from you.
The Bible said, FORGET THE PAST, LAY CLAIM TO THE FUTURE.
You know why?
Because that is where the success and beauty of your life lies.
# Apostle Paul deliberately divorced himself from his difficult past.
So long as he remained stick to his past, he was no where close to his success.
#. He said I pressed forward to the prize of the high calling of God.
Friends, you must learn to push your past behind.
You must never bury yourself with your past.
You must understand that ahead of you is a better life.
You must understand that ahead of you is a promotion.
You must understand that the phase you are today is different from those you will encounter in the future.
Since it is the future you are looking for, then you must forgot the past.
No one who lay claim to the past, sees the future.
Your brighter days are just about to begin.
Your great future is just about to burst open.
Your new page is just beginning to open.
You must take the lead, divorce the past, embrace the future and settle in the ambience of his glory.
THE GLORY IS HERE.
