CHURCH MARKETING OR EVANGELISM?

Telling church members to invite their friends to church service is not evangelism. It is called church marketing.

Evangelism is from the Greek word euaggelion. It means a good message or gospel. Then the word Evangelize is 'Euaggelizo' in the Greek. It means to announce, declare, bring, or preach this good news

So a Christian who invites people to church service without preaching the good news himself or herself to them is not evangelizing. He is only marketing the church.

Church marketing is different evangelism. Church marketing means to bring people to church. It doesn't matter if you share leaflets containing testimonies of those who attended the church and afterward got a job, married, or conceived.

As long you are not declaring the good news, you are simply marketing the church.

Church marketing brings people to church, but evangelism bring CHRIST to their heart.

You see the difference? I hope you have been evangelizing the Gospel? Your church may reward or recognize you for bringing people to church. But it is Christ who rewards soul winners.

And they that turn many to righteousness are wise and shall shine like stars forever (Daniel 12:3).

YOU AND YOUR PRAYER LIFE
1. You talk too much about prayer yet you don't pray. Many believers think they are men and women because they talk about prayer. You don't talk about prayer, you must practically pray. Pray always.
2. The power of prayer is pure conscience and clean heart. Many single brothers and sisters are practically living in immorality yet they want to pray, NO! You must maintain a position of purity in thoughts and deeds to stand in the place of prayer. As long as you're keeping lust in the heart, secret silent fi*****ng, ma********on, smooching, po*******hy and s*x then your prayer life will be very sick.
3. Praying with a Spirit man that's starved of God's Word is weak praying. If you're feeding on gossip, po*******hy, s*x scandal and political gists yet you want to ascend higher in the spirit that's impossible. Colossians 3:16 admonished that you feed on God's Word.
4. Insufficient speaking in tongues: Can I ask you a question.... Do you know everything you should pray about? That's why you must pray more in the spirit. If you don't pray more in the spirit, you may be slain in the secret. Pray more in the Spirit Jude 1:20
5. Inordinate comfort: It's excessive comfort that makes you substitute having a prayer life for just going for going prayer session. What are you doing in the cinema for hours? You can spend hours with your fiance or fiancée but 30 minutes with the Holy Spirit is impossible for you. To be a man or woman of prayer is to enrol for the dealings of God. Prayer is hard work!
May God revive your spirit tonight in Jesus name.

Too often, Christian judge others by their appearance and we shouldn’t do that. We should listen to their heart, see their smile, and learn what is inside them. Because true Christians can’t keep Jesus inside, the Holy Spirit will show through us in what we say and do.
Let’s observe others as Jesus does, and look at their heart!

The Lord Jesus Christ our SAVIOUR shed His blood on the cross and died in your place and was buried and on the third day he arose from the dead, VICTORIOUS over sin and death to give WHOSOEVER believeth EVERLASTING life through His name.
For the wages of sin is death; but the GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou SHALT BE SAVED.

JUST ONLY A YOUNG BOY
There was an evangelist who organized a program, he fasted and prayed for a long time just so there will be a massive harvest of souls in the program.

When the day of the program arrived and it was time for the altar call, only one young boy came out crying and he accepted Christ.

When the evangelist arrived home, he cried and asked God why it was only a young boy that accepted Jesus despite all his efforts, prayers and fasting? Just only a young boy!
But years later the evangelist met the daughter of the young boy that accepted Jesus in the program and the daughter told the evangelist that he was the one that led her father to Jesus and her father is BILLY GRAHAM.
Yes, Pastor Billy Graham the man that led millions of souls to Jesus.

So while the evangelist was crying thinking it was just a young boy that accepted Jesus at his program, what he didn't know was that, years later, that young boy will in turn lead millions to Jesus Christ.

Dear one that is tirelessly working for the Lord, i want you to be greatly encouraged, you might feel what you are doing is small, you might feel that what you are doing is not big enough, but you might never know to what extent your life is blessing people.
Wherever you go, whenever you get the chance, lead people to Christ, even though it is just one person, don't look down on the number, lead the person to Christ because you might never know if that one person you are leading to Jesus is the Apostle that will lead thousands, millions and generations to Jesus Christ.
Have you accepted Jesus, if you haven't, this is a great privilege for you to invites him into your life by this simple salvation prayer:

SALVATION PRAYER:
Dear Lord, Jesus, I believe that you are the son of God, I believe that you died for my sins and resurrected to give me eternal life, I accept your life by faith, I accept you into my life as my Lord, King and Personal Saviour, Forgive my sins and help me to live for you and your Kingdom.
Amen.

The Greatest Sin is losing the sense of Sin
We live in an era that seems dominated by the insatiable desires. We no longer feel ashamed or embarrassed when we commit sin rather we are even boastful of it. For many, Everything is good so far its okey with the society. We live in luxury not being mindful of others who live without the barest minimum essentials for a decent life. We are slaves to possessions and greedy desires. We are unknowingly perishing.
May God deliver us from this fallen world of sin. May God save our souls. Amen.

HOW THE APOSTLES DIED.
1. Matthew. Suffered martyrdom in Ethiopia, Killed by a sword wound.
2. Mark. Died in Alexandria, Egypt , after being dragged by Horses through the streets until he was dead.
3. Luke. Was hanged in Greece as a result of his tremendous Preaching to the lost.
4. John. Faced martyrdom when he was boiled in huge Basin of boiling oil during a wave of persecution In Rome. However, he was miraculously delivered From death.
John was then sentenced to the mines on the prison Island of Patmos. He wrote his prophetic Book of Revelation on Patmos . The apostle John was later freed and returned to serve As Bishop of Edessa in modern Turkey . He died as an old man, the only apostle to die peacefully
5. Peter. He was crucified upside down on an x shaped cross. According to church tradition it was because he told his tormentors that he felt unworthy to die In the same way that Jesus Christ had died.
6. James. The leader of the church in Jerusalem , was thrown over a hundred feet down from the southeast pinnacle of the Temple when he refused to deny his faith in Christ. When they discovered that he survived the fall, his enemies beat James to death with a fuller's club.
This was the same pinnacle where Satan had taken Jesus during the Temptation.
7. James the Son of Zebedee was a fisherman by trade when Jesus Called him to a lifetime of ministry.
As a strong leader of the church, James was beheaded at Jerusalem. The Roman officer who guarded James watched amazed as James defended his faith at his trial.
Later, the officer Walked beside James to the place of ex*****on. Overcome by conviction, he declared his new faith to the judge and Knelt beside James to accept beheading as a Christian.
8. Bartholomew. Also known as Nathaniel. He Was a missionary to Asia. He witnessed for our Lord in present day Turkey. Bartholomew was martyred for his preaching in Armenia where he was flayed to death by a whip.
9. Andrew. He Was crucified on an x-shaped cross in Patras, Greece. After being whipped severely by seven soldiers they tied his body to the cross with cords to prolong his agony.
His followers reported that, when he was led toward the cross, Andrew saluted it in these words, "I have long desired and expected this happy hour. The cross has been consecrated by the body of Christ hanging on it". He continued to preach to his tormentors For two days until he expired.
10. Thomas. He Was stabbed with a spear in India during one of his missionary trips to establish the church in the Subcontinent.
11. Jude. He Was killed with arrows when he refused to deny his faith in Christ.
12. Matthias. The apostle chosen to replace the traitor Judas Iscariot. He was stoned and then beheaded.
13. Paul. He Was tortured and then beheaded by the evil Emperor Nero at Rome in A.D. 67. Paul endured a lengthy imprisonment, which allowed him to write his many epistles to the churches he had formed throughout the Roman Empire. These letters, which taught many of the foundational Doctrines of Christianity, form a large portion of the New Testament.
Perhaps this is a reminder to us that our sufferings here are indeed minor to compare to the intense persecution and cold cruelty faced by the apostles and disciples during their times For the sake of the Faith.
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: But he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
Pass on to encourage other Christians. Why Do we feel sleepy in Prayer, but stay awake through a 3 hour movie?
Why are we so bored when we look at the HOLY BOOK. But find it easy to read other books?
Why is it so easy to ignore a massage about God,
Yet we forward the nasty ones?
Why are Prayers getting smaller, but bars and clubs are expanding.
Why is it so easy to worship a celebrity, but very difficult to engage with God?
