BIBLE TEXT- PSALMS 23

*Introduction*

In the valley of the shadow of death fear is the most dangerous, it has torment, it opens door for death and at its entrance it paralyses faith and bruises spiritual growth and bring total failure. Also in the valley, sun brings about death, sickness and calamities. There are blood suckers and flesh eaters, stagnation and lack of knowledge. Satan is roaring like a lion but there is only one lion of Judah who has removed the teeth of the shadow lion that could not bite and devour in his den. God allows us to pass through valley of jeopardy, hardtimes because the shepherd is alertive and attentive. Every valley is a path way to some thing better. He will not withhold every good thing (Psalms 84:11, Romans 8:28).
1. The shepherd has covered you with his presence - so be fearless in adversity - "You are with me"
2. God's power (1 John 4:4). Shepherd rod is power of defence
3. Staff is the guide to the sheep. David is confident not of present situation
4. Trust that He knows the way through the valley.

1. Oh Lord, Power of wicked manipulation break into pieces
2. Oh Lord, Release a rain of acid into the habitation of cruelty prepared for me and my family
3. Oh Lord, Do not allow me to travel on a poisoned road, air, route and street
4. Oh Lord, Parcels of destruction will not be delivered to me in Jesus name
5. Oh Lord, Power of loneliness, abandonment, affliction and accident in marriage break in Jesus name

*Today's title* - *ELISHA'S BREAKTHROUGH (OBSTACLES TO GOD'S VISION) PART 1*

BIBLE TEXT- 2 KINGS 19:1

*Introduction*
Ahab told his wife Jezebel all that Elijah has done, Jezebel sent messages of vengeance to Elijah. And Elijah ran for his life.

WORRIES: *Worries* is a sin because it breaks relationship with God, Isaiah 26:3 *"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee because he trusted in thee"*. God says in Romans 8:28
*We are assured and know that all things work together and are for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose and worries says NO.
God says in Mark 7:37, He has done all things well - worries says NO.
God says in Hebrews 13:5, I will never leave thee nor forsake thee; Worries says NO.
Elijah committed a sin of pride - 1 Kings 19:4. He requested that he might die - EGOISTIC SU***DE - A SIN. 1 Kings 19:10 *"I, even I only am left; and they seek my life to take it away"*. The word "I" even I only is a statement of pride that does not recognize God again or that proves to know everything of God (Spiritual Ego)
In 1 Kings 19:15-16 God told him to;
1. Appoint Hazael as king of Syria
2. Jehu to be king of Israel
3. Elisha as prophet
-An incomplete mission.

Disobedience - This is another sin at the face value. These premise of sin gave the sons of the prophet a wrong perception of Elijah and what may happen to him. They probably misjudged him, concluding that the whirlwind is taking him to a mountain or valley. They concluded and decided to desert him leaving Elisha the last son of the prophet.

1. Oh Lord, I thank you for empowering me with great faith to overcome my enemies
