REVISION DAY 4

Lesson 7: Spiritual Gifts And Fruit

Memory Verse: "There are diversities of gifts, but the same spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord"(1 Corinthians 12:4-5)

Summary: As children of God, every one of us is blessed and gifted with one spiritual gifts or more.

We are to identify our area of giftedness and endeavour to use them for the total good of the church to which we belong.

Gifts are good, but we must also develop the fruit of the spirit which is the evidence of the Holy Spirit in us.

To have one without the other is an error that needs to be corrected.

Lesson 8: Overcoming Challenges Through The Holy Spirit

Memory Verse: "Therefore, I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches,in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong."(2 corinthians 12:10)

Summary: Among other things, three striking facts were emphasized in this lesson: Christ's power is available to strengthen and help us; The Holy Spirit's presence is available to accompany us and God's promises to provide for us.

Also, we have the privilege of prayer to help us.

Above all, believers' hope and prospect through our Lord Jesus Christ should encourage us to be steady and constant in our christian course.

Through the Spirit of Christ, we enjoy the peace of God, the presence of the God of peace and the promise that should remove all anxious care.

The Holy Spirit will give strength for all.

REVISION DAY 3

Lesson 5: The Death And Resurrection Of Jesus Christ

Memory Verse: "But the angel answered and said to the women, 'Do not be afraid for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified, He is not here, for He is risen, as He said, come, see the place where the Lord lay (Matthew 28:5-6)

Summary: Assuredly, Jesus died and resurrected, there is no controversy about this. Those who formed unholy alliances, devised evil schemes and denied Jesus' resurrection did it to their own damnation.

According to scriptures, our hope is not only in this world,(1 Corinthians 15:19). Since Christ's resurrection is real and confirmed, believers should be resolute to trust Him for hope In Him cannot be dashed.

Our hope is beyond the grave.

Lesson 6: Guidance And Direction

Memory Verse: "However, when He, the spirit of truth has come, He will guide you into all truth, for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears, He will speak, and He will tell you things to come"(John 16:14)

Summary: The Lord has made provision for us to be guided and directed in making life choices and decisions as we journey in life and on this pilgrimage to heaven.

This is possible by His gift of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.

However, the Holy Spirit, will never force His will, guidance and direction on anyone.

It is one thing for Him to guide and lead us; and another thing for us to yield to Him and follow His guidance and direction.

One thing is sure, you will never go astray, if you follow Him.

REVISION DAY 2

Lesson 3: Receiving The Holy Spirit

Memory Verse: "Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit "(Acts 2:38).

Summary: As we have learnt today, the baptism of the Holy Spirit is God's gift to everyone who repents and believes.

This experience empowers us for holy living, effective witness, and victorious service.

Whether through prayer, the laying on of hands, or hearing the word, God freely pours out His spirit on hungry hearts.

This baptism is not a past event but a continuous experience of renewal and empowerment.

As believers, we must intentionally prepare our hearts, exercise faith, and remain open to fresh infillings.

The promise is for us, our children, and all who believe.

Today, ask, receive, and live daily in the consciousness and fullness of God 's Spirit.

Lesson 4: Empowerment For Witness

Memory Verse: "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witness to me Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth"(Acts 1:8)

Summary: It is very crucial for the present-day church to follow the footsteps of the Apostles and the early church.

More room should be given to the Holy Spirit when it comes to witnessing for Christ.

The numerical growth, signs, and wonders recorded by the early church can be replicated if the Holy Spirit is given the lead in our witness for Christ.

Combining intellectual and theological knowledge under the unction of the Holy Spirit will enhance us to do the work Jesus did and greater ones(John 14:12).

With the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit, modern day church stands the chance of winning more souls into Christ's kingdom.

REVISION WEEK FOR THE PAST TEACHINGS IN THIS QUARTER

REVISION DAY 1

Lesson 1: The Person And Ministries Of The Holy Spirit .

Memory Verse : "But the helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you."(John 14:26)

Summary: In this week's lesson, we learnt that the Holy Spirit's divine nature is manifested in scripture as fully God, and co-equal with the Father and the son (Matthew 28:18-20; 2 Corinthian 13:14; Acts 5:3-4).

The role of the Holy Spirit in salvation is to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement (John 16:7-11).

He is to seal believers as God's own, guaranteeing their eternal inheritance (Ephesians 1:13-14).

His ministry to us is ongoing, teaching, sanctifying, and empowering us (John 14:26; Romans 8:9-14; Acts 1:8).

The spirit is not optional presence but the divine person who makes Christ 's finished work real, sustains our faith, and empowers us in mission.

Lesson 2: The Promise Of The Holy Spirit.

Memory Verse: "Behold, I send the promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high."(Luke 24:49).

Summary: The promise of the Holy Spirit is God's greatest assurance to his people. Throughout scriptures, God consistently demonstrated His plan to dwell with and in His people.

The spirit of God transforms our hearts, empowers our witness, equips us with spiritual gifts, and seals us for eternity.

Pentecost was just the beginning, not the end, it ushered in a new covenant reality where the spirit is poured out without limit.

Let us embrace the promise of the Father, walk in the Spirit daily, and fulfill our calling as spirit- empowered witnesses in the world.

Topic: Press On Toward The Goal

Bible Text: Philippians 3:12-14; Hebrew 12:1-2

There is a goal set before each of us. There is a reason we were born and became born-again.

Each of us is alive and was saved for this reason. We must therefore do all in our power to reach our goals.

There will be several distractions and obstacles from the enemy to make us fall short of our goals.

As God strengthens us, we need to keep pressing on until we reach the finishing line.

It is not yet time to rest or stop, if you fail, there is only one thing to do rise and keep going.

The truth is, the devil cannot stop you as long as you keep moving.

POINT OF EMPHASIS: As long as you keep moving, the devil has no power to stop you.

PRAYER POINT: Lord, help me to do all I can to get to the finishing line in Jesus' name.

Topic: Find Joy In Suffering

Bible Text: 2 corinthian 12:9-10; James 1:2-4

Suffering is against human nature; no one enjoys it.

We pray against it, yet, several people go through suffering one way or the other.

This is because sometimes, God uses suffering to build us.

The Bible says we should count it all joy when we go through different trials.

Why should we rejoice? It is because each time we go through challenges, God wants us to do something in us and through us .

He wants to glorify Himself through us.

God is a loving Father who will not allow any of His children to go through unnecessary pain.

All things, including pain and suffering, work together for our good .

So each time you go through any challenges, joyfully present them to God and He will see you through.

POINT OF EMPHASIS: Suffering is meant to build, not to ruin you.

PRAYER POINT: Lord, grant me the grace to joyfully go through all that may come my way in Jesus' name.

Topic: Endure With Hope

Bible Text: Roman:5:3-5;
1 Thessalonians 5:8-10

Hope is the confident expectation that something good will happen in the future, even if present circumstances look uncertain or difficult.

As believers, the scriptures gives us the confidence that God is not only aware but involved in whatever we are going through and all things will eventually work for our good.

Having hope should constantly give us the strength to endure to the end.

We cannot give up or surrender before God's expectation.

We must hang on until He who promised to shows up because He will not fail.

Irrespective of the situation you may be going through, God will surely show up.

POINT OF EMPHASIS: God is aware and involved in whatever you may be going through.

PRAYER POINT: Lord, help me to hold on to Your word until You show up in Jesus' name.

Topic: Seek Spiritual Strength

Bible Text: Ephesians 3:16-19 ; Colossians 1:9-11

Strength is important for several reason for work, on journeys and engaging in battles.

Nothing can be achieved if there is no strength.

Just as we need physical strength, we also need spiritual strength.

This is way Apostle Paul always found it necessary to pray for strength both for himself and his converts.

Each time we fail in a task or to win a battle, we fail because our strength is small.

To be victorious spiritually, we need spiritual strength.

Physical strength is not required to achieve spiritual tasks.

Just as Paul prayed for his listeners, we need to pray so that God can also increase our spiritual strength so that we can succeed in all our endeavours.

POINT OF EMPHASIS: Physical strength is not useful to accomplish spiritual tasks.

PRAYER POINT: Lord, increase my spiritual strength so I will not fail in all my engagements in Jesus' name.

Topic Put On The Whole Armour Of God

Bible Text: Ephesians 6:10-18

It should not be strange to anyone if it repeated that in this life, each person will fight battles .

The battle is against no other beings but the devil and his agents.

We are not up against fellow human beings; we wrestle against spiritual beings.

The Bible calls them principalities and powers.

To fight and conquer, God had made provision for us; He has given us His own armour.

God's armour is the only potent weapon that can withstand and conquer the devil.

We must learn and master this whole armour for it to be effective.

If we use it correctly, the devil will have no space to operate in any area of our lives .

POINT OF EMPHASIS: God has released the only potent weapon to defeat the enemy. It is left for you to effectively utilise it.

PRAYER POINT: Help me Lord to effectively use the armour You have given me in Jesus' name.

Topic: Fix Your Eyes On The Unseen

Bible text: 2 corinthian 4:16-18; Hebrew 12:1-3

Physical things are always attractive. They are attractive because we can see them.

Many people do anything and everything to get physical and material possessions.

They do so because this is the way the world rates and respects people.

But physical things are temporary; they fade with time.

There is another provision that cannot be seen with physical eyes.

The Bible says these are permanent.

The irony is, most times, the physical things, though attractive, sometimes blind and distract us from seeing the unseen which are permanent.

We need the eyes of faith to see beyond the physical, those things God has provided to serve us forever.

POINT OF EMPHASIS: You cannot fix your eyes on both the seen and the unseen at the same time.

PRAYER POINT: Lord, help me to train my eyes to see only the unseen while you make provision for me in Jesus' name.

IT IS ANOTHER COOL WEEK; MAY THE GOODNESS OF GOD ABIDE WITH US THIS WEEK, AMEN.

Topic For Youths: Hold On To God In The Midst Of Pressure

Topic For Intermediates: Hold On To God No Matter What.

Memory verse: "If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit"(Galatians 5 vs 25).

Monday: 18/5/2026

Topic: Love Not The World

Bible Text: Galatians 2:19-21; 1 John 2:15-17

The world refers to the values, systems and ways of life under the influence of sin and Satan. It also represents the mindset and culture that rejects God's authority; selfish desires, pride, greed and immorality.

A person cannot agree with the world and still be on God's side at the same time.

The Bible says anyone who wants to be the friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

To be free from the world, it is necessary to go through the cross. At the cross, we become converted and become like Christ.

We can then live a life free of the world but patterned after Christ.

POINT OF EMPHASIS: The cross makes difference between the living for the world and living Jesus.

PRAYER POINT: Father, help me henceforth not to live for the world but for Christ.
