May the light of Christ fill your heart with peace, joy, and unwavering hope this season. As we celebrate His birth, may your home be blessed with love, your spirit renewed by faith, and your days guided by grace.

Remember, Christmas is not just a season—it's a gift of divine love, a reminder that Emmanuel—God is with us.

Wishing you and your loved ones a Christmas full of miracles, mercy, and meaning.

Stay blessed and keep shining His light.

🎄 CATYCOM @ Anglican High School, Ibara Abeokuta – Christmas Carol Ministration
Date: 10th December 2025

The CATYCOM team was invited to minister at the Anglican High School Christmas Carol, and it was a powerful time in God’s presence

Topic: Essence of Christmas
Ministering: Dr. Engr(Mrs) Odukoya Jumoke Faith

Background Story of Christmas

Christmas was not the biological date that Christ was born. Historically, early Christians in Rome chose December 25th to replace and abolish a pagan festival that celebrated the sun. Instead of joining the celebration of the sun god, they decided to celebrate the birth of Christ on that day.

Biblically and historically, the actual birth of Jesus has been predicted to be in March, August, or October.

Scriptural References

- Isaiah 9:6–7
- Luke 2:1–2
- John 3:1

The Miracle of Christ’s Birth

From the conception of Jesus Christ to His birth, everything was a miracle and a fulfilment of prophecy. There is no prophecy written in the Bible that will not come to pass.

Jesus was born in a manger— a humble place. This shows that Jesus left all His glory in heaven to come for us. God gave the best He had to mankind.

To explain God’s love, an example was shared:
If you are thirsty and you order table water for everyone, you can tell them, “Go and get the water yourself.” It is a choice to take the water or not — but it is available.

In the same way, salvation is available for everyone.
For God so loved the world....
How many of you are thirsty? Jesus is here for you.

A prayer of repentance was led, inviting students to accept Jesus into their lives.

Warnings for the Festival Period

Students were cautioned to be vigilant during the festive season:

* Avoid late nights
* Avoid drinking
* Avoid strange adventures
* Do not trust long-time family friends or relatives you have not seen in a long while — people change.

Many of the students gave their lives to Christ.
Truly, Jesus is the reason for the season.
