Diocese of Osun (Anglican Communion) was inaugurated on the 3rd of August 1987, and the Rt. Seth Oni Fagbemi was enthroned at All Saints' Cathedral, Ita Balogun Agoro, Osogbo as the first Bishop of the Diocese. The decisive step for the creation of the Osun Diocese was taken on 12th April 1986 when the provincial standing committee at its meeting in All Souls' Church Bodija, Ibadan. Meanwhile, it

is generally believed that Christianity entered Osun land in the last decade of the 19th century through activities of early foundations who probably got to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ in foreign places of Sojourn like Abeokuta and its environs. Diocese of Osun (Anglican Communion ) is a faith-based organization committed to building a lifestyle instructed by the word of life from the Scriptures, in the young, the old, and in society at large. She is spiritually dynamic, united, disciplined, self-supporting, committed to pragmatic evangelism, and social welfare, and epitomizing the genuine love of Christ.
