I Y A S E K E R E

She has been in the choir over 30years, playing just the shekere ... She doesn't really have the best of voices but she plays the shekere with Joy.

It started about 30 years ago when she had some issues, she was accompanied to the church by a friend. After the spiritual consultation (ishona) she did all the works and followed the instructions to join the church chior.

It was a small church of about 5years. She didn't know the hymns so well neither could play the instrument.

Buh she was committed and determine. She would wash the cape, come to rehearsals regularly and participated actively. She took up the shekere and has been playing since then.

To the glory of God things not only turned around for her, in there she got bigger, got married, gave birth to her 2 boys and a girl who are also choristers.

She has been a mother to all the choristers, she is the eldest, she is always filled with joy and and very active.

She is now so fulfilled and contented, I can't imagine who will stop her from playing her shekere in the choir after such testimony which followed her life.

A fictional story, but something to relate to ...
