*THEME: STOP WORRYING YOURSELF*
*PASSAGE: MATTHEW 6: 26 – 34*
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, [shall he] not much more [clothe] you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day [is] the evil thereof.)

*MESSAGE*
Our text today teaches us how to trust in the Almighty God, the Creator and the provider of all things. We should stop worrying about what to eat and what to wear. God has made enough provisions for His Children (the believers) as long as they put their trust in Him (Matt 6:19-34).
To worry is “to keep thinking about unpleasant things that might happen or about problems that you have” According to Oxford online dictionary, it is a show of fear and distrust in the ability of your God and His promises. Worrying is never the solution of any challenge and it blinds your eyes from seeing your ability and the capability of your God to solve the problem or challenges.
Worrying negatively affects your life, health, your dreams and faith. No one in the state of worrying makes or takes good decisions. The major life essentials, which the passage elucidated, includes feeding, shelter and clothing; the daily struggles of man are poised to meet these three essentials of life which, most times, look so difficult and promote worry.
When you stop worrying, your eyes are open to numerous possibilities. It also brings God closer to you and makes you to operate in your full capacity that you never imagined. But when you worry, your bones, face and body look dry.
To stop worrying is a proof that you know your God and understand your place in His plan. If God can properly care for birds and the wild flowers, surely He will take care of you and even more.
We must arise and hold unto the promises of God in Christ Jesus, for He is the only Way out of our struggles. Jesus is the AMEN to God's purposes in our lives. Put your trust in Him because He cares for you.
*MEMORY VERSE:* _Matthew 6:31 “So do not worry, saying, 'what shall we eat?' or 'what shall we drink?' or 'what shall we wear?”_

The word commandment could be described as instructions and teachings of God. It teaches us about life, peace, Joy and wisdom as contained therein. Note that keeping God's commandments are meant to help us live a better life in Him as it gives Joy to our heart and light to our eyes.
The commandments of God includes the decalogue (Exodus 20:1-17) and several other instructions in the holy scripture. This was summarized by our Lord Jesus Christ in (Matthew 5:17-20, 43- 48), which was based on his love towards humanity. Apparently, some have become disobedient to keeping of this Holy instructions and thus require God's enabling Grace to fulfill this mandate.
*POINTS FOR CONVERSATION*
1. Discuss the implications of disobeying Gods commandments as children of God (John 14:23-24, Romans 1: 24-32)
2. As believer, what are your roles towards God and fellow human as summarized by the Lord Jesus Christ? (Exodus 20:1-17, Matthew 5:17-26).
3. Mention some of the benefits of keeping God's commandments. (John 14:21, Genesis 39: 21-23, John 15:12-15)

The word of God is all sufficient and able to transform our soul. Hence, when God's commandments are kept as required, it helps us to abide in His Love and partake of the Joy of the Lord. Ask for His Grace to keep this commandments always and abide in His Love.

and make Our home with him"_
*ACTION POINT: Take bold steps to obey the Lord's commandments.*
