📢 OFFICIAL REMINDER TO ALL YOUTHS’ IN OUR CHURCH.

This is to officially remind everyone that the National Youths’ Convention is NOT exclusively for Youth Choir members. The Convention is organized for ALL youths in our church and beyond, and every young person is expected to recognize and embrace this opportunity to participate.

We therefore encourage all youths to make the necessary arrangements and prepare to be part of this important gathering. Let us come together in unity, fellowship, and purpose as we make this year’s National Youth Convention a remarkable and impactful one.

TENTATIVE REPORTS BY THE 2026 YOUTH CONVENTION CENTRAL PLANNING COMMITTEE

INTRODUCTION: The convention committee which was inaugurated on Saturday 21st February 2026 at Ebughu sectional headquarters during the general meeting of this association have resolved thus in her first and second meeting of 4th and 29th April 2026 respectively at the committee's WhatsApp group.

1. DATE FOR THE CONVENTION: The convention is fixed for Friday 7th to Sunday 9th August, 2026.

2. CONVENTION VENUE: The convention shall be hosted at The Mount Zion Mission, Ikot Abasi sectional Headquarters.

3. DAYS OF EVENTS:
(a) Friday Afternoon (Arrival) --- 2:00pm --- 4:00pm
(b) Friday Evening Service --- 4:00pm --- 10:00pm
(c) Saturday Morning --- 8:00am --- 12:00pm
(d) Saturday Evening --- 6:00pm --- 10:00pm
(e) Sunday Morning --- 8:00am --- 1:00pm

4. UNIFORM:
(a) Friday Evening --- Sectional Uniform or Ankara Material
(b) Saturday Morning/Evening --- MZIMYA Official T- shirt
(c) Sunday Morning: Choristers: Navy blue trousers and skirts and white shirts with tie and muffler with navy blue beret for ladies.
National excos: black or Navy Blue suit with tie.

5. REGISTRATION: Registration shall be ₦2,000 only for a section.

6. CONVENTION ASSESSMENT: The convention assessment shall be ₦20,000 per section and can be paid ahead as I'll add an account number subsequently.

7. LAUNCHING TACKET : Shall be a some of ₦100,000 only as equated to that of last year.

8. THEME: "LIVING A PURPOSEFUL LIFE" (Ephesians 2:10)

9. QUIZ COMPETITION: The quiz competition shall be taken from the entire book of Esther.
Question shall be Set from King James version of the Bible.
It is compulsory for all sections to participate.

10. T-SHIRTS (POLO) shall be on sale for Saturday use. Note, the same design of last year shall be procured. So if your last year polo is still in order, we recommend you use it.
For those buying, it shall be on pre- order.

11. ACCOMMODATION shall be on Sectional basis, also camps shall be within the confines of the church.

12. FOOTBALL COMPETITION: The football competition shall be a friendly match between the Zion Youths and Ikot Abasi community.

13 OUTING: There shall be an outing ceremony on Saturday afternoon along Ibekwe road, Ikot Abasi.
Please, morer reports shall come in due course.

Please, we recommend the convention assessment of 20,000 be paid ahead time to ease the financial burdens on a section. For convenience, it can be paid on two installments.
