Supporting Texts: Matthew 2:1-11, Proverbs 22:29, Matthew 5:14-16
INTRODUCTION
Every rising has two phases. There is the rising itself, and there is the brightness of the rising. Many people rise but their rising has no brightness, so it commands no attention.
In Bible days, kings don't move anyhow. Kings don't follow just any light. A king will only leave his throne for a light that is brighter than the lights in his own palace.
Your prayer should not just be "Lord make me rise" but "Lord, let my rising have a brightness that kings cannot ignore."
Illustration: When Jesus was born, He was born in a manger - very obscure. But the brightness of that birth was seen in the East. Ordinary shepherds saw the light nearby, but kings saw it far away. That is the power of brightness.
Proposition: God is about to put a brightness upon your rising that will compel royalty to locate you.
1. YOU MUST UNDERSTAND WHAT THIS BRIGHTNESS IS
Brightness is not noise. Brightness is not struggle. Brightness is distinct glory.
What is the brightness?
a) Divine Favour that cannot be explained - Genesis 39:2-4. Joseph was a slave but favour made him commander in a foreign land. Favour is the brightness.
b) Excellence and Superior Skill - Daniel 6:3. An excellent spirit was found in Daniel, and the king preferred him above all. Mediocrity cannot attract kings. Excellence does.
c) The Presence of God upon your life - When Moses came down from the mountain, his face shone. People could not ignore him. When God's presence is upon your business, career, and ministry, it becomes magnetic.
Kings are not looking for who is loud, they are looking for who carries light.
# # # # 2. WHY KINGS MUST COME TO YOUR BRIGHTNESS
a) Because kings are custodians of resources: God will not send you to kings, He will send kings to you. Psalm 72:10-11. Kings came to Jesus not empty-handed. They came with gold, frankincense and myrrh. Your rising is about to attract financiers, destiny helpers, and men with capacity.
b) Because kings have influence to establish you: One word from a king can do what ten years of labour cannot do. When Pharaoh spoke for Joseph, Joseph's 13 years of obscurity ended in one day.
c) Because your light is for direction: Matthew 2:9 says the star went before them. Kings are tired of darkness in high places. They are looking for genuine light to guide them. You are the answer to a king's confusion.
3. HOW TO PROVOKE THE COMING OF KINGS
a) Arise First: Isaiah 60:1 says "Arise, shine". God will not shine on you while you are sitting. You must arise from procrastination, excuses, fear, and small thinking. Proverbs 22:29 - "Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before the kings."
b) Maintain Your Light: Don't dim your light to fit in. Don't apologize for your excellence. Matthew 5:14 - "A city set on a hill cannot be hid." Stop hiding your gift.
c) Stay in the Place of Rising: The star stayed until the wise men arrived. Consistency keeps your light visible. Many people rise and go back down before kings arrive. Abide.
CONCLUSION AND PROPHETIC CHARGE
Child of God, from today, your era of hidden struggles is over. God is not just lifting you, He is making your lifting visible.
You will not chase helpers, helpers will chase you. You will not beg kings, kings will beg to identify with you.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
1. By the mandate of Isaiah 60:3, I decree: Every veil covering your brightness is torn now! 2. In this season, your gift will bring you before great men. Your business, your ministry, your career will command royal attention. 3. Every king assigned to your next level - wherever they are - let them be divinely restless until they locate you. 4. As the wise men came with treasures, so shall men come to you with contracts, opportunities, and open doors!
Altar Call / Response:
Today, if you want God to put His brightness upon you, come and pray: "Father, let my life begin to command the attention of kings."
