The 2026 Ogbaru Diocesan Synod which commenced on Friday, 15th May 2026 at Immanuel Anglican Church, Umunankwo rose today, Sunday, 17th May, 2026. The synod deliberated on several issues - bothering on faith, doctrine, administration, career, business, family, and issues of national concern taking its recourse on the theme: Building on Solid Foundation - A Strategy for Transformational Mission. The synod had a successful deliberation as the the theme proves pivotal on all life facets at the material.
The Bishop, Rt. Rev'd Prosper Amah and president of the synod, in his address insists that any nation, organisation, religion, business, people and life that is not built on the Solid Foundation - Jesus Christ - will not stand the test of time. He emphasized that the durability, stability, sustainability, strength and relevance of any building bear on the foundation. Whatever one builds - life, family, Church, mission, business, career - will only be as strong as its foundation. He enjoined all to ensure life built on Christ, whilst developing strong spiritual disciplines with patience in God's process. He further enjoined thus, "before seeking height, one must secure depth".
His lordship further called on the leadership and the general polity of our nation - cautioning on the matter of political defections in Nigeria, constituency projects and accountability.
The synod came to its cresendo as people of God gathered today to thank God for His rich mercies and help that culminated in a successful synod.
