🖊️ *COMMENTARY*
Our text today, shows us the moment Jesus entrusted His disciples with divine authority and commissioned them for their frst mission. The nature oftrue discipleship walking in Christ's authority, proclaiming His message, and depending on God's provision.
1. Authority Given to the Disciples (v.1) Depicts the fact that true ministry is never rooted in human strength but in the power of Christ working through His servants.
2. The Names of the Twelve Apostles (vv.2 4) His disciples were mainly ordinary men. This shows us that He equips those He calls, proving that willingness is more important than worldly status.
3. The Mission of the Disciples. (vv.5–6) Jesus directed His disciples first to the "lost sheep of Israel." This shows the divine order of God's plan: the Gospel was to be proclaimed first to Israel before being extended to the nations.
4. Their Message. (v.7). Every disciple today carries the responsibility: to proclaim the good news of God's Kingdom.
5. Power Demonstrated. (v.8) The Kingdom is not merely spoken about; it is demonstrated with God's power at work in people's ives.
6. Dependence on God's Provision (v.9-10) underscores theprinciple that God provides for His servants and that ministry isn about service, notpersonal gain.
