๐ŸŒธ GIRLS' BRIGADE SUNDAY 2026 ๐ŸŒธ
St Paul's Anglican Church, Onitsha.

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom." โ€” Proverbs 9:10

Today, we joyfully celebrate Girls' Brigade Sunday, giving thanks to God for the vision, ministry, and enduring impact of the Girls' Brigade in nurturing young girls to become godly women of faith, discipline, purity, and selfless service.

In his goodwill message, The Rt. Rev. Dr. Owen Chiedozie Nwokolo, Bishop on the Niger, reminded every Girl Brigader that true wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord. He encouraged them to wear their uniform not merely as a badge of membership, but as a symbol of unwavering commitment to Christ. He further charged them to live lives marked by holiness, humility, integrity, kindness, obedience, and faithful service, becoming shining lights in a world filled with moral confusion and ungodly influences.

Our sermon, "THE WARNING," delivered by Rev. Charles Okpalaeke, echoed this call to holy living with a solemn reminder that heaven is real, and hell is real. We were urged never to take the Gospel for granted, never to become a stumbling block to others, and to remember that our lives are a trust from God for which we shall one day give an account.

As we celebrate this special day, may every Girl Brigader remain steadfast in Christ, grow daily in wisdom and grace, and continue to be a positive influence in the Church, the home, and society. May we all live with eternity in view, reflecting Christ in our words, actions, and character.

Happy Girls' Brigade Sunday!

"So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God." โ€” Romans 14:12

SUNDAY SERVICE RECAP
26th July, 2026

Topic: Opening the Gates!
Text: Psalm 24:7โ€“8
Ministering: Rev. Nonso Blessed

"Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lifted up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in." โ€” Psalm 24:7

Every life is surrounded by gates. Some gates are opened by God to usher us into purpose, while others are opened by the kingdom of darkness to delay, hinder, and imprison destinies. The good news is that every gate can be opened or broken by the authority of God.

Key Lessons-

*There are gates of delay, ancient gates, perpetual suffering, and prison gates that can stand against a person's destiny.

*Every house and every city has gates, both physical and spiritual. We must be spiritually alert.

*When power meets power, the lesser power bows. God alone has the key to unlock the gates of your life and destiny.

*Hidden sin shuts the door to miracles. Genuine repentance opens the way for God's intervention.

*Obedience to God's instruction leads you into His divine purpose.

*Sacrifice, deliverance, and healing are channels through which God opens the doors of change and breakthroughs.

*The battles you refuse to fight today may become the burden of your children tomorrow.

*May every gate of delay, limitation, stagnation, and affliction standing against your life and family be lifted in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Prayer:
Father, by Your mighty power, let every ancient gate, prison gate, and gate of delay standing against my destiny be broken. Open every door You have ordained for me, and let the King of Glory reign over every area of my life. Amen.

๐ŸŒธ Girls' Guild Sunday 2026 ๐ŸŒธ

Today, we celebrated our young women, but more than that, we were reminded that we all bow to one King.

"Jesus is Lord" (John 6:46-49)

Our vicar, the Rev. Canon Edozie Ejeckam brought it home:
โœจ You don't live for yourselfโ€”you live for Him.
โœจ Your giving isn't a duty; it's a declaration that He owns you.
โœจ Surrender your plans, and watch Him direct your steps.

To every girl, every woman, every child of Godโ€”you are not your own. You were bought with a price. Walk in that freedom today!

Happy Girls' Guild Sunday to all our amazing young sisters in Christ. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’œ
