TOPIC: GOD KNOWS THOSE THAT ARE HIS
TEXTS:2 Timothy 2:19–20, Psalm 139:1–8, Isaiah 43:10–13, Galatians 5:22–23, John 3:3, 1 Peter 1:23, Acts 1:7–8, Matthew 6:33, John 4:24, Jeremiah 29:11, Isaiah 34:16, Ephesians 3:20
As believers, we must continually remind ourselves: "I must become a true child of God." Becoming a child of God is not automatic; it requires genuine repentance, obedience, and a willingness to follow God's standards.
God desires that His will be done in our lives. Every child of God must seek the gift and guidance of the Holy Spirit. The fruit of the Spirit should be evident in our character wherever we go. Without faith, it is impossible to please God, and His Word must dwell richly in our hearts.
When the Holy Spirit comes upon a believer, He empowers that person to live a holy and victorious life. We must remain steadfast in the house of God and serve Him faithfully. God knows those who truly belong to Him. He knows our thoughts, our works, and the plans He has prepared for us.
No one can take away what God has ordained for His children. Therefore, our desire should be to please God according to His will and not according to our own understanding. We must also recognize and respect the boundaries and instructions God has established for our lives.
POINT 1: THE REASON AND CHARACTER OF A CHILD OF GOD
TEXT:
Matthew 7:20–23
God knows those who are His. He searches the hearts of men and recognizes those who sincerely follow Him. Therefore, let us strive to live holy lives, remain faithful to God's Word, walk in the Spirit, and continually seek His will. As we do so, our lives will reflect the character of true children of God, and we shall enjoy the blessings and purpose He has prepared for us.
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his..."
POINT 2: OUR EXPECTED BENEFITS AS CHILDREN OF GOD
TEXTS: Jeremiah 29:11, Isaiah 43:10–13, Ephesians 3:20, Psalm 139:1–8, Acts 1:7–8
God does not call people into His family without purpose. Those who genuinely belong to Him enjoy spiritual, physical, and eternal benefits. While the Christian life involves challenges, God's promises remain sure for His children.
God declares His power to save and deliver His people. No one can reverse what He has purposed.
God has good plans for His children—plans of peace, hope, and a glorious future.God declares His ower to save and deliver His people. No one can reverse what He has purposed.
Jesus promised that His followers would receive power after the Holy Spirit comes upon them.
One of the greatest benefits of being a child of God is the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
The benefits of being a child of God are beyond measure. He knows us, protects us, empowers us, guides us, answers our prayers, and prepares a glorious future for us. Therefore, let us remain faithful, obedient, and committed to His will, knowing that God never abandons those who truly belong to Him.
