*ASK THE RIGHT QUESTIONS*

Tuesday, July 12th.

Pastor Chris

_*And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles... (Judges 6:13).*_

In life, there’re people who ask the wrong questions and make the wrong requests. There’s just something about them that makes them ask the wrong questions every time they have an opportunity. But you can ask the right questions. There’re good questions that guide you to useful answers. Until you learn to ask the right questions, you won’t find meaningful answers that’ll propel you forward.

God wants you to ask the right questions. At a time when Israel was being oppressed by another nation, an angel appeared to Gideon and greeted, “The Lord is with you, mighty man of valour.” Gideon replied, “Why do you call me a mighty man of valour? If God is with us, where are all His miracles?” This was a good question. If God was with them, then their lives ought not to be ordinary.

Have you ever watched the Olympics or some other sporting event on TV and wondered at the sportsmen who seemed to have superhuman abilities? You most likely found them amazing because you knew you couldn’t do some of the things they were doing. Or have you ever been blown away by the level of intelligence of a genius?

What about you? Who says you can’t be more extraordinary than these people? When are you going to say like Gideon: “If God is with me, then my life cannot be ordinary!” And then you start asking the right questions.

God gave Solomon wisdom, and the Bible says he was wiser than all men. So, there was a time in this world when one man was wiser than all men, and he wasn’t Jesus. Why can’t that be you? Why can’t you be wiser than all the people in your city? Who says you can’t?

Is there some sickness or disease troubling your body? If you’ve received the Holy Spirit, then you need to ask the question: “Should I still be sick with the Holy Spirit living in me?” Not only should you ask this question, you must answer it. Take a hold of your Bible and meditate on the verse that says, _*“And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you”*_ (Romans 8:11 NIV). Before long, the power of the Spirit will course through your body and produce results. Put this to work today.

*Dear Father, thank you for your wisdom that’s resident within me. Your Word has made me wise and brought me into a place of excellence, success, victory and abundance. I’m inspired by your Word to think the right thoughts, speak the right words, ask the right questions, and receive the results of the Word in my life today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

*Monday, July 11th.*
Pastor Chris*

```The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel… (Luke 4:18).```
While praying many years ago, precisely in 1981, I had some encounters with the Holy Spirit that changed my life. I began to experience a fellowship and knowledge of the Holy Spirit that made His power in my life more real and inherently applicable in life’s situations.
I had read about the missionaries who came from Europe to Africa. Some of them spent years trying to get converts to Christ without much results. They tried; some even died in the process, but it didn’t work. The problem was that they came with religion; they came with a nice message that exhibited the kindness of Christ. That was great, but they needed more than just a nice message.
No matter how much you love Jesus and how much you’re touched by the need to preach the Gospel to sinners in the world, if you’re not filled with the Holy Spirit, it won’t work. That’s why Jesus said to His disciples, “…tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high” (Luke 24:49).
Anyone can say, “I love Jesus, and I’ll serve Him all my life!” Peter also said the same thing. He said to the Master, “...Even if everyone else deserts you, I will never desert you” (Matthew 26:33 NLT). He emphasized, “...Even if I have to die with you, I will never deny you...” (Matthew 26:35 NLT). Of course, it only took some soldiers, a little girl, and some other fellow to make Peter deny Jesus few hours later.
But after Peter received the Holy Spirit, His fears disappeared. The once “unlearned fisherman” began to say and do supernatural things, so much so that in one day, through his preaching, three thousand souls were converted!
If you’ve received the Holy Spirit already, that’s just the beginning. You have to know Him; you have to walk in and with Him. He has to become a constant part of your life. Remember, the power of our message isn’t in the shouting, nor is it in the ability to use many words. The power of our message is the Holy Spirit: “And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4).
*PRAYER*
_Dear Father, I thank you for the Holy Spirit who lives in me and guides me in the path of your perfect will for me. I’m turned on from within by His divine power, which energizes me and fills me with courage to reach my world with the Gospel, in the Name of Jesus. Amen._
*FURTHER STUDY:*
*|| 1 Thessalonians 1:5 For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake. ||*
*|| Romans 15:15-19 Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God, That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost. I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God. For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed, Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ. ||*
*We trust you have been blessed by this devotional. We invite you to make Jesus Christ the Lord of your life by praying thus:*
```“O Lord God, I believe with all my heart in Jesus Christ, Son of the living God. I believe He died for me and God raised Him from the dead. I believe He’s alive today. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life from this day. Through Him and in His Name, I have eternal life; I’m bornbu again. Thank you Lord, for saving my soul! I’m now a child of God. Bu Hallelujah!”``

Good Morning Everyone

*RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL*

*THE GOD OF PEACE*

Tuesday, July 5tGBh.

Pastor Chris

_*Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen (Romans 15:33).*_

In the Old Testament, God was often called the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. However, in the New Testament, particularly in the epistles, God is known, more than anything else, as the God of peace. He’s called the God of peace more than He’s called the God of love or the God of righteousness. We see this referenced in Philippians 4:9: _*“…the God of peace shall be with you,”*_ and in 1 Thessalonians 5:23: _*“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly….”*_

The word “peace” is from the Greek “Eirēnē”, which is akin to “Shalom” in Hebrew; it’s peace with prosperity. This is God’s desire for all men. No wonder the angels declared in Luke 2:14: _*“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”*_ Think about it! He brought peace between us and Him: _*“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ”*_ (Romans 5:1).

The chaos experienced in some parts of the world today didn’t happen by chance. They were inspired by demons of chaos who thrive in chaos. They use chaos as a tool for perpetrating their nefarious schemes through their human hosts and keep at it until people bow to their wishes. But God wants peace and tells us to proclaim peace to the nations.

In the prayer He tells us to pray for all men, His intent is that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life (1 Timothy 2:1-2). That’s what He wants us to have. He’s always about peace. Even now, command peace for your city and your country. Declare in the mighty Name of the Lord Jesus that godly peace that brings liberty, grace, strength, health and prosperity will hold sway in your nation.

*PRAYER*

*Righteous Father, you’re the God of peace, and I proclaim your peace upon my nation. Your peace, which passes all understanding and brings liberty, grace, strength, health and prosperity holds sway in all nations, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *1 Timothy 2:1-2* I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and [for] all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. *||*

*||* *Jeremiah 29:7* And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace. *||*

*||* *John 14:27* Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. *||*

*THE BLESSINGS OF GIVING*

_(The Rewards For Giving Are Numerous)_

*TO THE BIBLE:*
*Psalm 37:25-26*
_“I have been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lends; and his descendants are blessed.”_

*LET’S TALK*

*“I sowed a seed in church last week; why haven’t I received my harvest yet?”* George wondered. He was in this particular train of thought all day until he got the good news that his sister, who had been critically ill for a few months, had miraculously begun to recover. He then realised that her recovery was connected to his giving in church!

Sometimes, when people give to God, they want quick financial returns from Him. Yes, when you sow a financial seed, the Lord blesses and multiplies your seed sown, but never get discouraged or wonder if you did the right thing if the harvest doesn’t come the way you expected it would.

Your blessings on financial giving don’t necessarily have to be in the form of money. There are other blessings that God causes to take place in your life that you may not even know about. If only you knew what your giving to the Lord could do for you! It connects you and everything that concerns you with God’s Spirit and gives you results that aren’t only for today, but tomorrow and for all time.

So, if you’ve been giving, keep at it. If you haven’t, start today. Each time you have the opportunity to give, be excited, for it means the Spirit of God is doing something in your life that will affect the course of your destiny. *“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you”* (Luke 6:38).

*GO DEEPER*

Proverbs 13:8; Psalm 112:1-2; 2 Corinthians 9:10

*PRAY*

_Dear Father, thank you for giving me the opportunity to give and secure my future in you. As I sow my seeds in faith according to your Word, I expect a bountiful harvest of blessings and miracles both now, and in the days to come in Jesus’ Name. Amen._

*GOD’S LOVE-PACKAGE.*

Monday, July 4th

Pastor Chris

_*And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them (John 17:26).*_

Does Jesus inspire you? If you read about Him in the Scriptures, you’ll surely be inspired. Glorious words came out of the lips of this man of Galilee. He spoke words so gracious that even the officers who were sent to arrest Him testified, _*“...No man ever spoke like this Man”*_ (John 7:46 WEB).

Always, people gathered around Him to hear Him. Once, they were with Him for three days in the desert and didn’t remember to go home until their food was exhausted. Yet, no one complained of hunger; they were just content to be with Jesus. What was He giving them? Words! He was a Master of words. Glory to God!

Though encapsulated in the body of a Jewish man from Nazareth, Jesus was the Word of God that created the whole world: _*“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made”*_ (John 1:1-3). The Bible also says in Hebrews 1:1-2, _*“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds.”*_

Jesus Christ made the worlds! This isn’t just talking about the planets and the galaxies; He also made the times and the seasons of men’s lives. John 1:14 says, _*“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us….”*_ Blessed Jesus! The Word that created the universe came in a body to love us. How can you explain that!

No wonder the Bible says, _*“…God is love”*_ (1 John 4:8). That’s His nature; He’s the description of love. The love of God is packaged in Christ Jesus! How I love Jesus! He’s the light and the beauty of Heaven, the brightness and the effulgence of God’s glory, the out-shining and out-ray of God’s light; that’s Jesus Christ! Hallelujah!

You are the voice and channel to the world through your sponsorship of the messenger angel...tool for the end time Harvest. Be a part of it now:

*CONFESSION*

*Lord Jesus, how great and precious you are! Thank you for lavishly demonstrating your love for me. How glorious it is to know that I’m complete in you, the only true God. I worship you, eternal King of glory. I acknowledge and appreciate your grace at work in me. You’ve made me your glory and righteousness, and I love you forever. Amen.*

*FURTHER STUDY:* *1 John 4:8-10* He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 4:9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

*John 3:16* For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

*Ephesians 5:1-2* Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; 2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
