Satisfaction Only in God

Come to me, Lord, in Your abundant Mercy and free me from the desires of this passing world. Help me to desire You above all things and, in that desire, to be overwhelmed by Your divine love. Jesus, I trust in You.

So often in life we can fall into the trap of believing that we are satisfied by worldly and passing things. We can even be fooled into thinking that our sins satisfy us. And, in a strange way, they do offer a temporary satisfaction of sorts. But this "satisfaction" is shallow and deceptive. When we come to the profound realization that nothing but God satisfies our souls, we will be blessed and we will be disposed to seek true satisfaction only in Him. This comes about only through a deep recognition of His Mercy.

Do you long to be satisfied by the Mercy of God? Do you seek out His Mercy every day? Reflect upon the desires within your heart. What do you long for? Let God's grace free you from unhealthy and foolish attachments and desires this day so that your desire can be set on God and God alone.

Children have a way of reminding us what truly matters. Their world is free of complications — they find joy in the smallest things, love with pure hearts, and forgive without holding back.

In their simplicity, they teach us lessons that even adults often forget: happiness is not in riches or power, but in kindness, presence, and love.

If we could see life through the eyes of a child, the world would surely be a gentler, brighter place. 💖

The "Blessing" of Sin

Divine Mercy, My Only hope

This may seem like an unusual title. How can sin be a "blessing?" True, strictly speaking sin is an offense against God and has the effect of separating us from God. Thus, sin is not a blessing in the strict sense. But God is All-Powerful and can use everything for His glory, even our sin. Sin could be spoken of as a blessing only in the sense that when we see our sins, acknowledge them, humble ourselves before God and beg for His Mercy, He bestows it in superabundance. In the end, the effects of the humility of repentance do far greater good than the damage done through sin. God can repair the damage immediately, and when He does so, He offers a Mercy that not only heals but also elevates us closer to His Heart. Allow your sin to be turned into a blessing by the power of God and you will be amazed at His endless Mercy.

Reflect upon the attitude you have in regard to your sin. Too often you may deny your sin, justify it or turn a blind eye to it. This is a profound mistake for two reasons. First, doing this keeps you from repenting. Second, a failure to humbly repent leaves you without the abundant Mercy of God. Foster within your heart a burning desire to see every sin you commit. Seek to become aware of every sin, even the smallest imperfections. Attentiveness even to your spiritual imperfections will enable you to humble yourself before God in such a way that your honesty and thoroughness will bring countless blessings to your life.


Lord Jesus, Son of God, have Mercy on me a sinner. Lord, I do see my sin but I also realize that I do not see it clearly enough. Please give me the grace to see my every sin, even the slightest imperfection, and then give me the grace to humbly repent with a sincere and contrite heart. I trust in Your abundance of Mercy, dear Lord. Jesus, I trust in You.

Morning Prayer for a New Day

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of this new day.
As the sun rises, so may my heart rise to You—
full of praise, hope, and trust.

Lord Jesus,
Walk with me today.
Guide my thoughts, words, and actions.
May I reflect Your love in all I do,
and carry my cross with faith and joy.

Holy Spirit,
Fill me with Your peace and wisdom.
Help me to listen for Your voice
and to follow Your will with courage.

Bless my family, friends, and those I meet today.
Protect the vulnerable, comfort the sorrowful,
and grant strength to all who labor and struggle.

Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for me, that I may live this day
with humility, purity, and devotion to your Son.

All you angels and saints,
Intercede for me now and always.

Amen.
