DAILY GRACE, WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 26TH, 2025.
DIVINE EMISSARIES (2)
TEXT: MARK.11:1-11
VERSE OF THE DAY:
_"HE SENT FORTH TWO OF HIS DISCIPLES AND SAID UNTO THEM, GO YOUR WAY INTO THE VILLAGE OVER AGAINST YOU: AND AS SOON AS YOU BE ENTERED INTO IT, YOU SHALL FIND A C**T TIED, WHERE ON NEVER MAN SAT; LOOSE HIM AND BRING HIM"- MARK.11:1-2._
Many of us are in deep hunger to be used by God to carry forth His agenda to the ends of the earth. Such are no bad desires; they are inherent in man, for so are we designed to function, Eccl.3:1, Deut.8:3.
Nevertheless, standing in God’s counsel to serve the world as His representative does not happen arbitrarily. There are some conditions to be fulfilled as indicated by the story in our text today.
➢ THE APPOINTMENT VS 1: The incidence of our text happened between the cities of Bethpage and Bethany. The former means House on unriped figs while the latter means House of Dates/ Appointments. These means that until the appointed time comes, one operates, but as an unriped vessel. Every creature in time is for a purpose, and every creature of purpose is for an appointed time, Eccl.3:1. Consider also that every appointment consists of the bidden; the time, and the place. If you are called as God’s envoy, don’t be in a haste to manifest, nor venture away from your placement.
➢ THE READINESS TO SERVE VS 3: Do you notice that the unquestionable condition for the release of this c**t was to serve the need of the Lord? If the c**t was unwilling to serve the Master, it would undoubtedly forfeit its liberation. The same applies to us today: we were saved to serve. The purpose of the anointing is to empower you to serve your generation in certain areas. It is not for fame, position or self-aggrandisements.
➢ THE MANTLE OF HUMILITY AND SUBMISSION VS 7: To be used by God, you must submit yourself under His government/ authority. For this c**t in our text to be able to carry the Savior to Jerusalem, it had to bring itself low for the Lord and accept to be decorated with the garment of humility for the sole purpose of dignifying the majesty of the Christ. Humility and submission are paramount requirements for the kingdom's usability.
➢ THE MINISTRY OF PRAYER & WORSHIP VS 8-10: The word Hosanna is a prayer, meaning: “save now” and “send prosperity now” Psalm 118: 25-26. On the other hand, the act of spreading garments and tree branches in Christ's way is an act of honour and worship. Those are shown necessities on the way of the messengers of God.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, please, give me the grace to both service and worship You, in Jesus' name, Amen.
