WRONG PLACE, WRONG TIME, WRONG LOCATION & WASTED YEARS..
1Kgs.17:1-4..
Wrong place, wrong time.” All of us have experienced that in one way or another.
But there is actually a biblical principle that is just the opposite of that, and it’s being in the right place at the right time. Please, i beg your indulgence to listen. Many are in this situation right now. Give me a minute to explain what I mean.
As you look at Scripture, one of the principles you will come to see is that to receive God’s provision, you need to be in the right place. This is a truth I’ve come to embrace—just how important it is to be in the right place.
A great example of this truth is found in 1 Kings 17. It begins in verses 1-4:
And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the LORD God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word.” Then the word of the LORD came to him, saying, “Get away from here and turn eastward, and hide by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan. And it will be that you shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.”
The first thing to note is that God tells Elijah He has provision awaiting him in a particular location, “I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.”
In verses 5-6, we are told:
So he went and did according to the word of the LORD, for he went and stayed by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan. The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening; and he drank from the brook.
Now, the ravens wouldn’t have fed him just anywhere. God said, “I’ve commanded the ravens to feed you there.” And I believe God has a “there” for every single one of us.
If Elijah had gone to another brook, he would have missed the blessing. It was by the Brook Cherith that God commanded the ravens to come.
About seven years ago, on a sunday while our church service was ongoing, i received a call that my immediate junior sister had an accident, and her leg was to be amputated. I rejected it and decided to take a night bus from Lagos to Abuja to meet up with the doctors in the morning before any decision. But while praying, the lord said the road is dangerous, that i should leave the next day. Do you know that on getting to a place called Ife in Osun State the next day, we were informed by the police on a routine check that there had been a serious armed robbery and kidnapping in that location from dusk till dawn..passengers were kidnapped and some police men injured and killed.
Imagine if I was disobedient to God's warning, what would have been my fate..(Wrong place at the wrong time)
Now this is what she told me, she said God instructed her to leave Lagos and relocate to Abuja, for in that place ,He will bless her, make her great and protect her. On the day of the accident, while the vehicle summersaulted several times, she said she saw a hand that protected her, and she survived the accident. Thank God, she obeyed God by relocating to Abuja. After we prayed with her, God restored her health and healed her leg and under four days was discharge. Today, she is perfectly walking with her legs and also prospering (Divine location)
Every journey is not a journey ✨️.
Being in the right place is an important thing because, as verses 7-9, tell us:
And it happened after a while that the brook dried up because there had been no rain in the land. Then, the word of the LORD came to him, saying, “Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.”
Notice that in both places, God commanded a blessing. God commanded the ravens, and God commanded the widow. I believe when we’re in the right place, God commands provision to come.
He will command a company to give you a job. He will command doors of favour and blessings to open for you. He will use ravens and widows, even strangers, if He has to.
That doesn’t mean there won’t be trials. That doesn’t mean you won’t go through a rough patch now and again. But when we are in our “there” place, we can expect God’s provision in our lives.
HAVE YOU ASKED YOURSELF THESE QUESTIONS....
> Why God asked Abraham to leave his Kindred to a place where He will bless and protect him..
> Why God warned Joseph to take baby Jesus and his mother out of Bethlehem...
> When God told Joseph to bring baby Jesus and the mother back to Jerusalem, and on arrival, he saw that it was Herod's son Archelaus, why did God warned him again to relocate to Galilee..
> Why did the Holy Spirit prevent the Apostles from going to Asia to preach but to Europe.
> Why did Jesus refuse to heal a blind man in bethsaida when asked to, but instead, he took him to another city and prayed for him, and he was healed..
HARD FACTS
> Jonah wouldn't have been swallowed by the big fish if he had gone to Nineveh but went to Tarshish.. Jon.1:1-17..
> If King David had followed Israel to war and not stayed behind, he would have avoided adultery and not caused himself great troubles and loss... 2sam.11:1-27..
> Elimelech and his sons would have been alive and not die in Moab if they didn't leave Bethlehem for fear of famine. Ruth.1:1-5..
> Abram almost lost his wife Sarai and even his freedom and Gods blessings because he left his location and went down to Egypt for fear of famine, and also lied, saying Sarai was his sister 🤔...
WORDS OF ADVICE
God will protect you where He kept and sent you to, don't go to where you have not His covering...
Even though the "earth's is the Lords and the fulness thereof, the world and they that dwell therein," we should also know that "the dark places of the earth is full of the habitation of cruelty "..Ps.74:20..
We don't expect to put our fingers into the fire and not get burnt.
You don't see and hear of danger and still advance...
The news we are hearing every where is not to be taking lightly. So much activities of kidnapping, killings, government lackadaisical attitude in tackling insurgency. It's a time for proactive measures..
In Prov.22.3, the Bible says... A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.
We need to be proactive, have discernment, and act quickly on warning signs. Recognizing risks, temptations, or consequences before they happen.
THERE ARE...
>Forbidden areas..
>Divine locations.
>Wrong places.
>Dead ends.
>One way journey.
>Dark places.
>Death traps.
In whatsoever journey we embark, the most important thing is to arrive safely..
In whatever place we desire to visit or relocate to, should be God's infinite desire...
God is the one who formed your Embryo, He knows your location for your allocation.. Don't go before Him...
All you need is .
>His Timing,
>His Strategic direction and
>His Protection ..
Only the living can Praise God.
Only the living can fulfil destiny..
In everything you do, just stay alive..!!!
The Lord bless you and keep you.
Make His face to shine upon you.
Lift up His countenance upon you..
May He give you rest, peace and joy...
