โEveryone shall taste death. And only on the Day of Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is removed away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of a deceiving thing.โ Q3:185
With profound sorrow and deep grief, the Muslim Studentsโ Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Ondo State Area Unit, joins countless Muslims around the world in mourning the loss of one of our most revered scholars, *Dr. Abdur-Rasheed Abdul Jabar Salman Buwayb*. The devastating news of his passing, which reached us on the 2nd of July 2024, has left a void too immense to fill. This loss is one that shakes the very foundations of our hearts and our community. Dr. Buwayb was not just a scholar but a beacon of light, wisdom, and guidance for all who had the honor of knowing him. His name resonated within the MSSN and far beyond.
Dr. Buwayb embodied the essence of true Islamic scholarship. He was an exemplary mentor, a steadfast leader, an inspiring teacher, and a passionate preacher of pristine Islam. His calm demeanor and extraordinary patience in explaining the Deen of Al-Islam touched countless lives and left an indelible mark on the hearts of many. Words fall short in capturing the depth of his contributions to the field of daโwah and the lives he transformed through his knowledge and compassion.
We beseech Allah, the Most Merciful, to accept the return of our beloved Sheikh Dr. Rasheed Abdul Jabar Salman Buwayb. May Allah protect him from the torment of the grave, shield him from punishment, and grant him the highest place in Jannat al-Firdaus.
In this moment of immense grief, we also extend our heartfelt prayers to the family and household of Dr. Buwayb. May Allah, in His infinite mercy, grant them strength and patience to bear this monumental loss. May He envelop them in His boundless compassion, ease their pain, and fill their hearts with tranquility. May the legacy of Dr. Buwayb's wisdom and kindness be a source of comfort and inspiration to them in these trying times.
May Allah strengthen us all to endure this great loss and continue the noble work that Dr. Buwayb so passionately dedicated his life to.
