INTRODUCTION:
What is Dominion?
- Dominion is ruling in the midst of opposition- Psa.110:2, Isa.33:24, Jer.30:17.
- Ruling in the midst of our enemies as if they don’t exist, dominion covers every aspect of life, even over sickness and diseases-Psa.105:27, James 5:14-15, Jn.10:10,
- Most sicknesses come by the devil and sin- Job 2:7, Psa.91:5-9.
Why does Satan afflict people with sickness and diseases?
- To destroy economy- Luk8:43.
- To kill ambition
- To render a man invalid and useless
- Every sickness is meant to kill a victim, sicknesses and diseases are agents of death, they are spiritual rope Satan uses to kill people- Job 33:22, 2 Cor.10:3-6; 11:3, Jer. 46:11,2 Chron.16:12-13,1 Sam. 17:32-50, Eph. 6:12-13.
Examining the forces behind sicknesses and diseases and the weapon to deal with them
1. Spirit of fear- 2 Tim. 1:7, Isa. 1:5-6.
- Fear is the spirit of torment -1 Jn.4:18, Job 2:7; 3:24-25, Heb. 2:14-15.
- The spirit of deformity- Luk.13:11,16, Acts 3:1,7-8, Phil. 2:10-11. Ezekiel 2:2, Rom.8:2,11.
How does God’s word empower us over sickness and disease
- God’s word is the balm of Gilead Jer. 8:20, Isa.56:8, Prov. 4:21-22, Jn.1:5.
- The word transmits divine nature of God to us
What is in the word that heals
a. The word is medicinal Prov. 4:21-22, Matt.9:12.
- Medically every medication has a side effect but the word of God does not.
- Medically medicine can fail but the word will never fail- Isa.36:16.
- Every medicine has an expiry date but the word of God last forever.
- Taking more than recommended medication is dangerous but the word of God is never too much.
- The word of God is surgical -Heb. 4:12, Jn. 1:1-2, Gen. 1:17.
- The word is creative - Gen.1:3, Acts 3:6. Matt. 9:27-29.
- Gods word is prophetic - Ezekiel 37:1-5, 2 Peter. 1:20-25.
- God’s word gives life to our mortal body- Jn. 6:63.
COVENANT DAY OF RESCUE - HEB. 2:3
Our rescue begins with salvation- Jer. 30:7,31:11-12, Psa.102:19-20, Hosea 13:14.
- A cry of mercy is vital for rescue -Mark 10:4, Dan.2:18.
- It is our cry for mercy that delivers us from destruction- Lamentation.3:22, Matt.9:27-29; 12:7, Mark 10 :46-52, Luke 7:14-16, Rom.9:15;10-13.
