*ABOVE ONLY DAILY DEVOTIONAL*
*BY: ARCHBISHOP M. E. BENSON IDAHOSA*
*TUESDAY MARCH 17TH, 2026*
*YOU ARE GENTLE*
*GALATIANS . 5:22 (GNB, KJV, CEV, TPT), 1THESSALONIANS. 2:7, 2TIMOTHY. 2:24*
*But the Spirit produces …kindness…"But the fruit of the Spirit is …gentleness…"God's Spirit makes us …kind…"But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is …kindness in action…"But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children: "As the Lord's servant, you must not quarrel. You must be kind toward all, a good and patient teacher.*
God is at work in you by His Spirit, making you willing and able to always be as gentle as He is (Phil. 2:13). You are as gentle as the Holy Spirit. One of the attributes of the wisdom that flows from above is that it is gentle (James 3:17). Gentleness is a major manifestation of God's wisdom.
God’s nature of gentleness in you causes you to behave moderately, kindly and rightly at all times, especially in the way you handle and relate with people. It makes you careful and able to avoid being unnecessarily harsh, irrational or extreme in the way you comport yourself and in your dealings with others. Gentleness makes you caring, merciful, kind and gracious towards others, no matter their behaviour towards you. It is what makes you harmless as a dove as Jesus instructed in Matthew 10:16. Being gentle makes you attractive and easily accessible. It makes people enjoy relating with you. It was Jesus' gentleness that drew even little children to Him (Luke 18:15-16). It also drew many others, particularly those who were considered sinners.
See people as God sees them. It will affect how you treat them. See them as people in need of God’s grace and mercy. Apply honour and dignity in your interactions with people.
*PRAYER:*
Father, I thank you for your nature of gentleness in me. Help me to be more caring, merciful, kind and gracious towards others.
