Today, we celebrate God’s generational gift to me—my spiritual and physical Father; an epitome of God’s mercy to me; my shepherd and instructor, my leader and cover Evangelist Sunday Oguche.
Today, we thank God for 65 years of unflinching strength, enduring mercy, favour, and glory.
Your life has exemplified Christ’s love, passion, and mission to me. The Bible, to me, is not merely a book I read; it is a life I see lived out in you. You have made the Scriptures tangible to me—not only through the words you speak, but through the life you have consistently lived.
Thank you for making loving and serving Jesus easy—and making it a must. Thank you for showing me, by your life, that following Jesus is not merely a choice we make, but a life we must give ourselves to completely.
You succeeded in commanding your seed to serve the Lord.
And above all, I thank you for giving me **Jesus—the greatest heritage of all, and the hope of glory.**
Your legacy is already blessed, and many generations will call you blessed. The seeds you have sown in lives, in families, in ministry, and in the Kingdom will continue to speak long after this generation has passed.
Eternity will reveal the true weight of the glory and the reward of all these years of tireless Kingdom labour.
I have seen you labour in abundance and in scarcity; in joy and in tears; in strength and in weakness; in fullness and in emptiness—yet through it all, you have continued to trust in the inexhaustible supply of the grace of God that makes all things possible.
I have watched you keep going when it was easy to go on, and when it was not. I have seen you give, serve, build, teach, lead, and pour yourself out, trusting not in what was in your hands, but in the God who has always been your source.
And today, I thank God that I am alive in your days—and even more, that I am called by your name.
What a privilege. What a heritage. What a mercy.
May the Lord preserve your strength, renew your youth, enlarge your influence, and keep you soaring on wings of grace. May you run and not be weary; may you walk and not faint; and may you finish your race with joy, still fruitful, still burning, still trusting, and still advancing the Kingdom.
May you soar and run to the very end, in Jesus’ name.
