As believers, we should make it a custom to examine ourselves to know if we are still on the path the Lord has set for us.

2 Corinthians 13:5
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

We should take the Word of the Lord as the standard to every action, thought and desire of our heart and endeavour to keep our heart in line with the standard of God.

Even Jesus, when He was in the world was subject to the laws of God. This is the same requirement that is expected of us.

Dwelling on the negatives of the past can only hinder the purpose and joy that awaits in the future
The baggages of the past should not be what limits the greater pursuits of our future. Past hurts and experiences keeps blur the vision of what could be in the future.

Philippians 3:13-14
