HOW TO “PERCEIVE!”
(Sharpen Your Spiritual Sense Of Perception)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Acts 27:9-11 RSV “As much time had been lost, and the voyage was already dangerous because the fast had already gone by, Paul advised them, saying, “Sirs, I perceive that the voyage will be with injury and much loss, not only of the cargo and the ship, but also of our lives.” But the centurion paid more attention to the captain and to the owner of the ship than to what Paul said.”

▶️ LET’S TALK
Observe the word “perceive” used in the Scripture above. Paul “perceived” that this particular voyage was going to be a hazardous one. This sort of perception isn’t the type you have when you sniff something and say, “I perceive smoke; I think something is burning.” It’s a perception within your spirit, when you have an inward knowing of something that’s about to happen.

The men conveying Paul didn’t listen to him. They were desperate to make up for the lost time and get to a more conducive place where they could spend the winter. They probably thought Paul was absurd for suggesting they shouldn’t travel. However, not long after they set out, the weather changed suddenly, and they were caught in a terrible storm and, subsequently, shipwrecked. They lost the ship and everything in it except their lives, and that was because God had promised Paul no one would die (Acts 27:22).

These folks depended on their senses for direction, but Paul had spiritual perception, and because of him, all 276 lives aboard that ship were saved. This is why it’s important that you exercise and sharpen your spiritual sense of perception by giving God’s Word and Spirit your full attention. Doing this will help you perceive and avoid any dangers or mishaps that may be lying in your way.

GOD’S RADICAL LOVE
(He Loves You Deeply And Passionately)

👤 Pastor Chris

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Zephaniah 3:17 AMP C “The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His love He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins, or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing.”

◀️ LET’S TALK
Do you know that God loves you? You need to take some time today to meditate on that. Some other people have been raised to think that God is only concerned about sin, and because there’s so much sin in the world, He’s mad at everybody; no! He’s not that way. God isn’t concerned about sin as many think. He was concerned about sin, and His concern about it made Him send Jesus.

When Jesus died on the cross, the problem of sin was dealt with forever. Therefore, for the believer in Christ, sin is no longer a problem. “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21). So you see, God isn’t mad at you; He settled the sin-problem in, and through, Jesus Christ and said, “For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace” (Romans 6:14).

What you need to do is to trust His righteousness. You’re the fruit, the result of Christ’s redemptive work. Accept and receive His righteousness into your spirit, and live continually in His glory and grace, knowing that He’s not mad at you, but excited about you.

2 Corinthians 5:19 says, “That is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.” This lets you know the mind of God. He’s not even mad at the sinner, let alone you that are born again! Therefore, get excited about God, because He’s excited about, and loves you deeply.

*HE’S ON THE INSIDE!*
(Have The Consciousness Of Christ Within You)

👤 Pastor Chris

*📖 TO THE BIBLE*
Ephesians 3:17 AMP C “May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts!....”

*◀ LET’S TALK*
God wants you to have the consciousness that Christ lives in you. This consciousness will cause you to live supernaturally every day. You’ll no longer have fears or confusion in your life; you’ll no longer think that you’re limited, because you know that Christ in you is everything: It means glory realised, victory assured, success attained, and prosperity guaranteed.

When you have the Christ consciousness, you’ll be a master over circumstances. You’ll have no sense of lack or need, because to have Christ is to have everything. The whole world is yours. The Apostle Paul, mindful of this, affirmed in 1 Corinthians 3:21, “…don’t be proud of following the wise men of this world. For God has already given you everything you need” (TLB).

Paul’s consciousness of Christ within him stood him out as an effective apostle of Jesus Christ. In Philippians 4:13 TLB, he said, “I can do everything God asks me to with the help of Christ who gives me the strength and power.” In Colossians 1:29 TLB, he said, “This is my work, and I can do it only because Christ’s mighty energy is at work within me.” You can do anything, be anything, prosper and excel exceedingly in every good work; it’s about your consciousness of the indwelling Christ!

He literally dwells in your heart by faith, which means you don’t have to “feel” that Christ is in you; it has nothing to do with your feelings, because you live beyond the senses. For example, 1 John 4:4 says, “…you are of God [you belong to Him] and have [already] defeated and overcome them [the agents of the antichrist], because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world” (AMPC). Have the consciousness that, come w
