*GOD'S WORD HAS POWER TO MAKE WISE.*

_The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple._
Psalms 119:130

God's word is the greatest source and reservoir of wisdom.
There's more wisdom in the Bible than there's in all the other literature of the ages. The one who studies the Bible, if he does not study any other book, will know more of real wisdom. He will know more of the wisdom that counts for eternity as well as time, wisdom that this perishing world needs to know, wisdom for which the hungry hearts are starving today. He will know more than the man who reads every other book and neglect his Bible.

Men who have greatly affected the spiritual history of this world, the men who brought about great reformations in morals and doctrine, the men whom others have flocked to hear and whose words people have hung, have been Bible men in every instance. And in many cases they knew little beside the Bible. Men who stay in the word always have a say in their world.

God's word is the system through which wisdom is distilled. I therefore commend you to this word which is able to build you up, and give you an inheritance among the saints.

THE WRONG STANDARD

And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
John 16:8

The righteousness of this world cannot compare with the righteousness of Christ. Yet if you were to ask people about their ultimate destiny, many would tell you that they feel they are good enough to merit entrance into heaven. Comparing themselves with someone less moral than they are, they would mention their generous spirit, their act of self-sacrifice, and their contributions to worthy causes as basis for earning God's approval.

The only one who can show us with whom we should compare ourselves is the Holy Spirit. He came to reprove the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. Under his piercing gaze, the goodness of the world is seen for what it really is - filthy rags.

When we compare ourselves with those around us, we may look acceptable. But when our goodness is held up to God's standard, Jesus Christ, we can see how sinful we really are. Have you been counting on your good life and fine reputation to get you through the judgment day? If so, you have been looking at the wrong standard. We are saved by God's work, not by good works.

Today, ask God to bring you under the piercing gaze of the Holy Spirit, to see how worth you are before him.

*THE WORKINGS OF GRACE*

_For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;_
Titus 2:11-12

Four things we will look at this morning that grace does in a man's life.

1. *Grace teaches us to deny Ungodliness and Worldly Lust:* Grace is the ability to say no that which is sin. There are a lot of problems that have been created in the world today because of man's failure to say no to the inclinations of the devil. But if any man must live the glory life in Christ, you must learn to say no to whatsoever is not part of God's provision for you.

2. *Grace teaches men humility:* There is no humility so deep and real as that which the knowledge of grace produces. Such lowly and hidden ones may find but a small place on the historic page and the insinuating or zealous heretic, and the noisy or visionary fanatic, are too clamorous to escape notice. But the eternal records will prove all things.

3. *Grace make debtors of men:* Any man who receives the grace of God is a debtor to those who are yet to drink of that living spring. He must therefore draw men to the fountain of that spring. If you receive this grace and did not preach it to others you are a wicked man, you abuse the grace of God.

4. *Grace is a status and an enabler:* Grace enables men to fulfill the law without living with the mindset of the law. It gives us a standing with God through
righteousness.

Meanwhile, remember that no matter how evil and wicked the world is, God will not take you to a planet of your own to live a godly live but in this present world. *Only grace can keep you safe. Stay safe by remaining in grace. I love you.*

Pray today that God will establish you firmly in grace in Jesus name.

*THE THRONE OF GRACE.*

_Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need._
Hebrews 4:16

The word grace comes from the Greek *"Charis"* which is the root for _Charisma_ , and also means the loving kindness or favour by which God exert His holy influence upon souls, turn them to Christ, keeps, strengthens, and increase them in Christian faith, knowledge, and affection, and kindles them to the exercise of Christian virtues. Thus, Grace is a divine Influence upon the heart, and it's reflection in a life. It is a spiritual condition of the heart that produces an outward tangible result.

Grace has a throne wherein mercy is obtained.
There are several characters of God that has their thrones in Him. As such a time these characters constitute a personality in God and thus functions in the capacity of such rather than the whole. That is why Christ can be defined as grace personified, or the organic grace, yet of his fullness we received grace for grace.

Grace is what you need to be all you have to be, not an anointing. Grace is Christ flowing out of himself into man like a liquid out of a container. We are in dire times and only grace can convey us out of here. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of grace. You can't know the Holy Spirit if you haven't come into the throne room of grace. Mercy and forgiveness of sins only come when we appear in the court room of grace.

Today, ask God to grant you the experience of grace in Jesus name.

*SPEAK FAITH-FILLED WORDS 2*

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall _say_ unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Mark 11:23.

In the scriptural text above, Jesus was teaching his disciples on the need for them to speak faith-filled words. It is important to note that Jesus did not instruct them to pray about mountains but to say a word. The disciples had heard him cursed an unfruitful fig tree the other day because he desired a fruit from it but couldn't find one. Today as they returned from their journey, they were surprised to see the fig dried up from the root as Jesus. This was the basis of Jesus's statement above.

Figuratively, mountains are obstacles. In life we come in contact with circumstances that are seemingly insurmountable, obstacles too difficult to cross, heights very hard to climb, and matters too difficult to resolve. You might have prayed and fast, probably with many men of God laying hands on you, yet without a breakthrough. Don't be discouraged, you have only tried prayers, now you have to come onboard speaking faith. And when you speak, refuse to speak from the realm of men. Speak the faith of God. The preceding verse to our opening text (verse 22), ask us to have the faith of God. This is possible because you have the very life of God. When you do, you will speak to anything and it will obey you. Glory to God!

*SPEAK FAITH-FILLED WORDS 1*

The other day, God spoke to us on the character of our words. We were encouraged to speak God's kind of words. Today, God wants us to dive a little deeper into His kind of speakings. When God speaks, He speaks faith. God does not want us to speak in faith, no! that creates futuristic expectations. He wants us to speak faith. Only that creates present realities. Your words should be faith-filled. Refuse to speak careless words. Faith is not only a state of the heart, faith is also a confession. Hebrews 10:23 _says "Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering;"_

The Greek used for profession in this text is *homologia* , which also means confession. It is derived from two roots, *homo* meaning same, and *logos* meaning word. This means two things which I will show you briefly.
1. Your words are to be the same with your faith. Many people believe one thing in their hearts and confess something else with their mouths. That's a grave error it will only yield the negative, because you are not saved by believing but by confessing (Romans 10:10).
2. Your speakings are to be thesame with God's speakings not in discordance but in harmony with what the spirit says. Paul the apostle, help us to better understand this in 2Corinthians 4:13. It says _"We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;"_ .

You see, you need to know and believe that you have the same spirit of faith as God has. So speak God's kind of words as he does, and the results will be super duper. Hallelujah! +2348067408670

*WHAT IS THE CHARACTER OF YOUR WORDS?*

_And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power._
Luke 4:32

As Christians, Christ is our example in everything, and we are his icon in everything. His exact representation and representative. We are re-created with his kind of life. As such we must know who he is to understand who we are. We must know how he lived and talk to know how we ought to live and talk. That is how we " _grow unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ_ " as required in Ephesians 4:13. Today, the focus is on the character of your word.

From our scriptural opening, one of the characters of Christ words is here revealed. It was reckoned to be with power. Jesus had several times gave his disciples the characters of his utterances. In fact, at one time he told them that his words are actually Spirit and Life. And our words are also suppose to be so. At this time, it wasn't him testifying about his words any longer. It was the people testifying, and what was the testimony - his words are full of power.

A Christian is might not necessarily be a powerful speaker but he must speak power-filled words. Today, as you ponder on God's word. What is has been the character of your utterances. Examine yourself and choose to speak God's kind of words.

*WHAT ARE YOU LABOURING FOR AND WHY?*

_Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him._
*2Corinthians 5:9*

One of the leading questions to an acute definition of purpose is in the two tags, 'What' and 'Why'. And this is God's concern towards you today, because He wants you to be on purpose. Many labour for so many things, and most of the times it is on the wrong things or for the wrong motive or reason.

In Nigeria today for instance, many like to say, 'we dey hustle' or 'we have to struggle', including Christian brothers and sisters. Several times I ask myself what are they hustling for? A child of God is not a hustler. No! Why? Because we have the Spirit of God, we walk in paths that are preordained for us, doing good things wherever we are. Hallelujah! Paul made this clear to us in Ephesians 2:10. It says, " _For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]._

Wow, this is wonderful! What a glorious life we have in Christ, He is the end to our struggles! Paul however, gives us one important and the only reason for us to labour in our opening text. If at all we must labour, it should be that we are accepted of God. Is that your reason why you do what you do today? If no, then change your perspective. God's acceptance of us both now and on the last day should be the reason for whatsoever we do. This is not only about soul winning, but also about any other thing we do. Ask God today, to help you with such mindset of reason and purpose in Jesus name.

*WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR SEED?*

_Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright._
Hebrews 12:16

Yesterday we saw that God can not prosper in your belly what He needs in your hands. Today our focus is on Esau who sold his seed - his birthright for a morsel of food. Many of us today has sold our seed for one thing or the other like Esau. Such a person is profane to God.

One of the buyers of people's seeds today which has also been the major drawback for revival in the twenty first century Church is the cry for people's mantle. Moses seed was his rod. Joshua's seed was his courage and strength of heart, Nathan's seed was his wisdom in prophecy, Elijah and Elisha's seeds were mantles, Jesus's seed was a burning zeal for the will of the Father, Paul seed was a zeal plus oratorical skill in delivering mysteries. Each of the patriarch had his seed and none cried to look like another. But alas the church of our day is bewitched, and God is seeing us as profane children.

Why will you desire to be like someone in another filed when God has made you to blaze a trail in your own field. We are all God's masterpiece. We are all created unto good and great works. Jacob's pottage is not better than your birthright. In fact, it is a trap so beware lest you trade the wheat for a chaff.
Today, ask God to help you not to crave for the grace of another man but for the revelation of yours. Have a blissful day.

ARE YOU SEEDFUL?

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it:
Genesis 1:28

After God created man the Bible says He blessed them and commanded them to be fruitful. This command was not the blessing He blessed them, but the demand He placed on them after He had blessed them. It is quite obvious that in the whole account of creation God only made this demand on three kinds of creation, the fish, the fouls of the air, and man.This is very spectacular and cardinal which I will share with you another time. But one thing God wants us to know this morning is that you can not be fruitful if you are not seedful.

This would therefore means that if God would requires fruitfulness from us He had deposited seeds in us. Yes, that is very true! That would also means you are meant to prosper. Oh yes, that's also very true! But is it everybody that is fruitful and prosperous? No! Why? Because they don't know that they have any seed. And you can never have what you don't know that you have.

God asked Moses what is that in your hand? Moses's rod was his seed.
God wants to bless you but He needs your seed. He said without a seed I can't bless you. What you need is a seed, and so He gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater. When you don't know that what you have is a seed you will eat it, and God can't prosper in your belly what He needs in your hands.
Today, ask God to show you your seed. Identify it and never eat it. For in it lies your prosperity. God bless you.
