Topic: Defeat Your Giants

Bible Text: Joshua 14 verse 12 NIV
Now give me this hill country that the Lord promised me that day. You yourself heard then that the Anakites were there and their cities were large and fortified, but the Lord helping me, I will drive them out just as he said.

Let me gist you.

When Israel left Egypt, Moses sent twelve spies to check Canaan.
Ten came back shaking. They said there are giants there. Anakites. We cannot win.
Only Joshua and Caleb had faith. They said we can win with God.
Because of fear, Israel wandered in desert for forty years.
After forty years, the giants were still there.
But Caleb was old and still believed. He said give me that hill. God will help me. And he defeated them.

My dear, what is your giant today?

Is it fear? Is it doubt? Is it sickness? Is it school fees? Is it job search?
Do you feel afraid to start that business?
Do you feel afraid to speak in public?
Do you feel that your project is too big?
Your giant may look big. But God is bigger.

If God says do it, you can do it.
Giants are not too big for God.
You plus God is majority.

David defeated Goliath. Caleb defeated Anakites. You will defeat yours.

What to do?
Pray. Trust God. Take small step. Open that closet. Start that project. Join that team. God will help you.

Your problem may be too big for you alone. But it is not too big for you and God together.

Declaration today:
With God, I will defeat my giants.

My golden age is here. 10th October.

I look back. I see mercy.

I see battles I did not win by myself.

I see nights God carried me.

His Word says it clearly.

Gods love is meteoric, his loyalty astronomic, His purpose titanic, his verdicts oceanic. Yet in his largeness nothing gets lost; Not a man, not a mouse, slips through the cracks. Psalms 36:5-6 MSG

And again it says, Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. Your righteousness is like the highest mountains, your justice like the great deep. You, Lord, preserve both people and animals. Psalms 36:5-6 NIV

That is my story.

God did not let me slip through the cracks.

He preserved me. He kept me.

I am not here by power. I am here by His love.

As I enter my golden age, I am grateful.

I am asking for your love and your prayers.

Your phone is a tool that should help, not control you.
‎
Learn to delay reading messages; wait for the right time.
‎
Many can’t do this now, reacting immediately to notifications, which distracts from important tasks.
‎
Teach others: if urgent, call; if not, wait.
‎
Practice resisting the urge to check messages first, and prioritize your work.
‎
Self-control means choosing when to look at your phone.
‎
Constant checking fragments your focus, making it harder to listen and concentrate.
‎
Success comes from focusing on crucial work, not answering every notification.
‎
Developing this discipline is necessary because our generation grew up with smartphones.
‎
If you don’t control your attention, someone else will.
‎
Each time you resist distraction, you strengthen your self-discipline and prepare for greater responsibilities.
‎
Protect your focus, as a distracted mind cannot handle big responsibilities.

📖 *IS YOUR NAME WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE?* ✨

*One day,* all the riches of this world will lose their value. Fame will fade. Beauty will disappear. Positions, titles, achievements, and earthly treasures will all be left behind. The only thing that will truly matter is whether your name is written in the Book of Life.

The Bible reminds us that heaven is a real place prepared for those who love and obey God. It is a place where there will be no more tears, pain, sickness, fear, or death. It is the eternal home of those who have placed their faith in the Lord and remained faithful until the end.

Jesus said:

"Rejoice that your names are written in heaven." — Luke 10:20

This is the greatest blessing anyone can ever receive. More important than becoming successful on earth is becoming a citizen of heaven.

Today is God's invitation to every heart. Repent of your sins. Turn away from the things that separate you from Him. Walk in obedience to His Word. Live a life that honors Christ every day.

The Book of Life is not about living a perfect life—it is about surrendering your life to the One who can save you. Jesus Christ gave His life on the cross so that everyone who believes in Him may receive eternal life.

One day we will all stand before God. On that day, there will be no second chance, no excuses, and no appeals. The question will simply be:

"Is your name written in the Book of Life?"

Make that your highest priority today. Choose Jesus while there is still time. Follow Him faithfully. Share His Gospel with others. Live every day with eternity in mind.

"Whoever overcomes will be clothed in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the Book of Life. I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels." — Revelation 3:5

Lord Jesus, thank You for Your amazing grace and the gift of salvation. Forgive my sins and cleanse my heart. Help me to walk faithfully with You every day. Write my name in Your Book of Life 🙏

Nigeria is bleeding slowly.

The poor cry for bread.
The rich build higher walls.
Kidnappers now negotiate human lives like market goods.
Fear sleeps in villages.
Hunger walks openly in cities.

Just like when researchers discovered male otters holding baby pups hostage underwater until food was delivered.
A shocking survival instinct.
Brutality hidden behind a harmless appearance.

Now look at humanity.
Men kidnap children for ransom.
Leaders trade citizens for power.
Truth is drowned while evil demands payment.

“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” — Matthew 24:12

We are watching hearts become harder.
Consciences dying publicly.
People surviving without mercy.

“They have healed the hurt of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.” — Jeremiah 6:14

This is beyond politics.
This is spiritual decay.

When a nation rejects truth, darkness becomes normal.

“Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” — Proverbs 14:34

Pray for Nigeria.
Repent.
Stay awake.
