Dear God 🤍

I don’t know how to say this
without feeling exposed.

I am tired of myself.

Tired of the habits I keep returning to
even when I know where they lead.
Tired of choosing what breaks me
and then wondering why I feel broken.

There are patterns in my life
that feel stronger than my will.
Addictions I dress up as coping.
A lifestyle I know is not life
but I keep calling it freedom.

And now I am living with the consequences.
Not just around me
but inside me.

My mind feels crowded.
My heart feels divided.
My spirit feels distant.

I know You are calling me higher.
I know You are asking me
to let things go.
To release what I keep holding onto
like it is saving me
when it is slowly draining me.

But I am afraid.

Afraid of what life looks like without it.
Afraid of who I am without these habits.
Afraid of surrender
because it feels like losing control
even though I know
I am not really in control.

So I stay in the middle.
Convicted
but not changed.
Aware
but not surrendered.

And it is exhausting.

God, I feel broken.
Not in a poetic way
but in a real, messy, frustrating way.
The kind where I disappoint myself
over and over again.

I want to be free
but I do not always want to let go.
And I hate that about me.

I do not want to keep living like this.
Half in
half out.
Calling Your name
while clinging to things
that pull me away from You.

Help me.

Not just to feel bad
but to change.
Not just to see the problem
but to walk away from it.

Break what I cannot break on my own.
Strengthen what feels weak in me.
Give me the courage
to release what You are asking for
even when it hurts
even when it feels like loss.

Teach me that surrender
is not punishment
but rescue.

And when I fall again
because I might
do not let shame drive me further away.
Pull me back.
Again and again
until I learn how to stay.

I do not want to hide from You anymore.
Even like this
I come.

Broken
conflicted
tired
but still reaching.

If You are willing
start with me.

Is Your Name Written In The Book Of Life?

Every man will stand before God.
No titles. No excuses. No second chances.

The question will not be —
“Were you successful?”
It will be — “Is your name written in the Book of Life?”

——

You can fool people with good deeds.
You can impress crowds with church attendance.
But the Lamb’s Book has no duplicates.
Only those washed by His blood are recorded there.

——

Jesus said, “Rejoice because your names are written in heaven.” (Luke 10:20)
That is the only record that matters.
Careers fade. Fame dies. Sin stains.
Only grace cleans.

——

You don’t earn this record.
You receive it.
When you surrender your life to Christ, Heaven writes your name.
When you reject Him, silence writes your end.

——

Check your heart now.
Your name can still be written.
The blood of Jesus still speaks mercy.

——

Tomorrow may never come. Eternity will.

God does not want you to try harder, He wants you to trust Him deeper. Stop trying, and start trusting. This will change everything, even in you - Amen 🙏
