Unlocking Favor-Prt 3

The teaching focuses on Keys to Unlocking Favor,” emphasizing that believers already possess God’s favor, but it must be unlocked and activated.

The sermon further explains that God’s Word is powerful and transformative, but believers must pay attention and allow it to produce results in their lives.

The first key discussed is the principle of honor. Favor is described as a situation where people are compelled to support, assist, or sacrifice for another person’s success.

Using the Shunammite woman in 2 Kings 4:8–17, which demonstrates how her honor toward Elisha triggered a blessing she had not requested the promise and birth of a son.

Abraham’s hospitality toward the three men in Genesis 18 is also used to show how honor can create an environment for divine promises to manifest.

Honor is defined as “the discerning, the celebrating, and the rewarding of men for their distinctive difference.”

Real honor begins with discernment and recognizes the sacrifices and contributions of others.

The teaching warns that ingratitude is a clear sign of dishonor.

Believers are encouraged to appreciate parents, mentors, bosses, friends, relatives, and anyone who has contributed to their lives.

Rather than constantly asking people for favors, they should learn to give, appreciate, and bless others.

The central lesson is clear: honor opens doors and unlocks dimensions of favor.

Sunday School Service:
The Second Death

The lesson explains that the second death is the final and eternal separation from God, described in Scripture as the lake of fire burning with fire and brimstone (Revelation 21:8).

It is called the second death because it comes after physical death and represents eternal punishment for those who reject Christ and His saving grace.

The Bible teaches that those who overcome and partake in the first resurrection will not experience the second death.

However, those who reject God, including the fearful, unbelieving, immoral, idolaters, sorcerers, murderers, and liars, will face this eternal judgment.

At the final judgment, death and hell will also be cast into the lake of fire, and anyone whose name is not found in the Book of Life will share the same fate.

The lesson calls believers to action by reminding them of Christ’s return and the reality of eternal judgment.

This should inspire Christians to live holy lives that reflect God’s glory and to actively share the gospel with others. God does not desire the death of sinners but patiently gives people opportunities to repent and receive salvation.

Believers are encouraged to remain faithful, pursue holiness, and help others escape the second death by leading them to Christ.

Unlocking Favor-Part 3

Our first service teaching continues with the series “Unlocking Favor,” and it explains that favor is deeply connected to God’s grace and the open doors He has promised.

Favor is not limited to money or material blessings; it includes everything we receive from God that we do not deserve, wisdom, knowledge, peace, life, mercy, protection, and breakthrough. Noah, Jacob, and Joseph are examples of people who experienced God’s favor.

The message emphasizes that favor brings divine protection, ease, accelerated breakthroughs, and mercy. God’s favor is not earned by human works but flows from who God is. The teaching also explains that believers can grow in favor through prayer, obedience, worship, and cultivating a relationship with God.

Most importantly, the fullness of God’s favor is found in Jesus Christ. Receiving Christ means receiving God’s grace and favor because His favor is wrapped up in Christ.

The sermon further teaches that since God has declared this a season of favor, believers should stop merely asking whether they are favored and begin speaking and confessing what God has said.

Faith must be expressed through words. Therefore, believers are encouraged to boldly declare, “I am favored,” regardless of their present circumstances, trusting that God’s word will prevail and manifest in their lives.
