SUNDAY SERVICE EXCERPTS

TOPIC: A CALL TO OBEDIENCE
DATE: 14th May 2023

In a world where the Act of disobedience has become a normal thing for all both Youth and adults. Men following after the pattern of the First Adam who had listened to the counsel of the Devil in going against God's order. Gen. 3:8-20

God by His Spirit is set to recreate such order and furnish men with sufficient grace needed to obey Him.

WHAT IS OBEDIENCE

Obedience according to the Bible dictionary is " Being Submissive to Authority, Yielding/Compliance With Commands, Order or Instructions.
It is also Performing what is required or abstaining from what is forbidden".

Why Should We Obey

1). Obedience attracts Blessings while Disobedience attracts Curses/ punishment. (Exodus 5:1-2, 6:1 23:19-27, Deuteronomy 11:27-32)

2). Through Obedience men enters Covenant with God. Gen. 26:1-5, 22:1-18

3). God becomes n Enemy to your Enemies. Exodus 23:22

4). Disobedience is an Indirect Denial of Either God's Authority over You, being that He is both your Father and Creator. Deuteronomy 30:20

5). An Obedient Man Lives Long while a Disobedient Man Dies Untimely 1 King 13: 1-26, Eph. 6:1-3, Prov. 3:1-2.

6). An Obedient Man Prospers in God's Timing. Job. 36:10-12, Jeremiah 12:17.
